That being said, I have no trouble to believe this is true. The definition of a phobia is "irrational fear", as in fear of something that is not dangerous for no apparent reason. Not all phobias is for benign things, but this one is.

To give an example I have a friend who is afraid of the bathtub, do to a violent phobia of sharks.

I have no trouble what so ever to believe this is real, but I think it's disgusting to exploit her fears this way
