  • Jim is now Jan and according to an anticle in the DMN is now an ER nurse on the west coast.

  • And I believe bdsnook2 had a Fall 1987 open with the "It's 10 O'Clock open" back when he was bdsnook.

  • This was the Sunday edition...Saturdays had Tony Martinez doing Sports. (And did anyone catch the BOA building?)

  • No BOA Building in those shots. The building opened on 9/11/1985 and was lit on a friday night. My father was there and told me about it when I was a kid. You could see BOA from our porch in Arlington if you looked to the east along Pioneer Parkway.

  • Hmm, well on one of flybynight's WFAA videos (all of his were weekday editions of the Update), you said that they put BOA in during the 1986 opens.

  • course they have spliced these themes together

  • Margulies was an anchor and investigative reporter from 1976-1986. He is president of The Margulies Communications Group, one of the areas largest media relations and crisis management firms. He represented Oprah during her cattle trial and is frequently seen on network television programs disucssing public relations and crisis management.

  • Ah, thanks for the info. I moved to DFW in Sept 1986 and I was like uh did someone do a real good editing job adding in new anchors but keeping Dale.....

    Thanks for the info.

Does anybody have any more openings from 1988 where the 10 PM news started off with "ITS TEN O'CLOCK AND YOU ARE WATCHING WFAA TV, WORKING IN THE SPIRIT OF TEXAS!"

  • Actually, that open was from Fall 1987.

  • Uh who are these people on here? I have never heard of Jim Littleton and David Margulies????

  • They were weekend anchors. David was at Channel 8 from the mid-70s to mid-80s and now runs some sort of media company in Dallas. I'll let someone else comment on Jim.

  • Niiice.
