  • I cried as a kid watching this, sooo sad

  • God, hearing that high pitched yell at the end made me tear up. :'(

  • Yeah, when I was a kid this scene made me sad. I just recently watched the japan version of this film and was surprised to find that the amercian version of the ending was actually more sad. The japan version doesn't have the same cry that this version has when godzilla hits the lava.

  • I remember seeing this as a kid and crying cause Godzilla died. :(

  • That scream always goes right through me like a knife. I can't help but get chills and start to tear up. I remember as a kid I was bawling at this and especially with that scream he let out

  • that scream was G being denied freedom. It can practically swim in lava.

  • Holy Shit! That scream at the end @__@ Never heard Godzilla make that noise before....

  • damn man hearing that scream just feels like your heart is being crushed

  • @SoCalWhiteboyXx yep, that and the music

  • godzilla will never die his cells regenerate too quickly so he could never die, even from the oxygen destroyer in the first movie i mean look at mechagodzilla the bones constructed from the real godzilla took over mechgodzilla.

  • This is sad.. I think this scene is more sadder than when godzilla actually dies in Godzilla vs Destroyah you don't hear that at 2:18 I don't know if he was screaming his lungs out there or if he was saying "WEEEEEEE!!" because obviously he's gonna hit the lava pool and nothing is gonna happen he'd be practically swimming around in it.

  • yeah i this part made me sad to bro im a huge godzilla fan

  • godzilla will return 2012 or during a later year around 2013 or 2016

  • I have admit everytime I see this part of the movie I do tear up

  • WELL GODDAMN IT!!! I uploaded this before and my account got terminated in 24 hrs!! YOU LASTED SINCE JANUARY 2011!!!! I envy you

  • @GORIZARD6

damn man , you too?? i upload the whole movie and my account got trminate in 30 mins :-( 2 times , but for my hero godzilla - I NEVER QUIT - NEVER NEVER long live godzilla

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH u where the one who uploaded the whole film back in 2006-2007? thnx man, 3rd grade memories :')

  • Awww, you cut out the monologue from Raymond Burr. I grew up with this film. Made me cry so hard as a kid. Still gets me today almost 30 years later.

  • @MrGodzilla445 I'm meant he isn't hurt by lava

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH He didn't die in Godzilla vs Biollante those peole were saying Godzilla is trapped inside Mt. Mihara. In this movie he fall in Mt. Mihara. Do ye get what I'm saying and godzilla isn't hurt by he swam in it far gods sake

  • @Nighterac Dude it's kinda load

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH I want it!!

  • @Airsoftman67 Amry killed destroyah and Godzilla melted because of his glowing body

  • End of legend

  • I teared up actually

  • So THAT's how Japan won World War II!

  • WHO DISLIKED THIS VIDEO?

  • @120595

    Godzilla. =P

  • @NemonicLee haha

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH

I am a very masculine man (say what you will to that) and barley cry.

This ending of an epic movie....it.....it made me tear up........

and, as a consulation, you should try the Japanese version, I find it oddly better then the dubbed one. I have a standard of only watching dubbed movies....but this one is good enough to make me watch the subbed version.

  • someone should just record the whole movie and post it not just one little clip but i like this video thanks 4 posting it

  • This brings back members, I would watch this and the 1976 King Kong at least. Once a week as a kid

  • This...always brings tears to my eyes. *sniff* farewell, my hero.

  • @TheKaijuCritic94

He's my hero too , the best of the best

  • @TheKaijuCritic94 he doesnt die though he walks back out of it not to long after this

  • @Docthewrench I never said he died. I was just saying good-bye... for now.

  • Nature has a way sometimes of reminding man of just how small he is. She occasionally throws up the terrible offspring of our prind and carelessness. To remind us of how puny we really are in the face of a tornado. an earthquake. or a Godzilla. The reckless ambitions of man are often dwarfed by their dangerous consequences. For now, Godzilla, that strangely innocent, and tragic monster, has gone to earth. Whether he returns or not or is never again seen by human eyes, the things he has taught

  • @CHENZODUST probably

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH its Burr's speech at the end.

  • this was always so sad to me. the scream at the end was painful to listen to.

  • I realy hate this scene it made me fucking but i did like godzilla's original roar at the end. have they made a new one godzilla this year.

  • This is one of the most epic movie ending at least top 8 to this day. I can't think of any others at the moment besides the ending of the original Dr. Dolittle, which is probably top 5.

  • I believe this is godzilla 1985.man i love low budget movies and miss them.Does anyone know if this movie is available on dvd?

  • @sammys70

i can make a real powerful HD dvd if you want with that movie

  • @sammys70 godzilla 1984 (in japan) wasnt low budget. its just the effects are really badly dated, kinda like the original king kong but to a lesser extent

  • THIS IS THE SADDEST SCENE IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE MOVIES!!!

  • Godzilla - King Of The Monsters!

I need this movie on Blu-ray, if they ever release it.

  • Bah. Godzilla vs. Biollante is like Godzilla Raids Again.....

No shit Godzilla comes back. Toho will never let him die, but like in the 50s...already the dark and menacing tone is _lost_, already the nuclear weapons allegory is gone, already Godzilla is no longer scary--he's fighting a giant plant and psychics for fuck's sake.

Don't get me wrong, though! I love the goofy side of Godzilla, too. Gimme Smog Monster and Final Wars any day, but I personally prefer the darker, solo stuff.

  • @Eldeecue

    i agree

  • @Eldeecue I always thought, for all Godzilla purists pan the inclusion of the "back in America" segments in Godzilla 1985, that they had two *excellent* things in them-- Steve Martin's line to the American commander about "I hope you succeed, but no matter what happens...Godzilla *will* live." and the "Nature has a way sometimes of reminding Man of just how small he is" moral Martin delivers at the end of the movie, just before the credits.

  • @Eldeecue i think Godzilla Raids Again was somewhat a little scarey, it was King Kong vs Godzilla which lost all the scare factor, but some of the "scare factor would come back in Godzilla vs Mothra, but go away

  • @Eldeecue

    Awesome comment

  • @Eldeecue agreed, a dark tone with a message is always appreciated, for example Hedora's tone was hella goof, but the message was that we made Hedora by our carelessness, the same way our carelessness made Godzilla(its better than Ferngully's humans pollute and eat animals, humans are evil)

  • Wait I don't get it. Why did he jump into the volcano?

And isn't Godzilla the bad guy? And Mothra the good guy?

  • @ihateuutube

Long story.....they discover that godzilla follows bird noises, mostly out of loneliness....and so they trick him into falling into a volcano using those same sounds.

  • Did anyone notice the 1954 roar at 1:20?

  • At 2:14 I literally got chills.

  • @survivor127

hi vegeta , go to my channela nd checkk my main dbz broly video

  • such a terrible death for a great hero but he will be back

  • Worst part has to be Godzilla's Scream while falling, really sounds like something in pain..

Very good job though.. Too bad all this sad stuff for nothing, he just comes back in Godzilla Vs. Biollante like nothing ever happened. lol

  • Why isn't there a region 1 DVD of this movie, honestly.

  • I can't get over the look on the G-man's face. It's like he KNOWS he's been "punk'd" but he's going along with it anyway.

  • he doesnt die here, he comes back in 1994 to kill destroyas ass, then dies cause of critical mass.

  • @Airsoftman67 It was the army that killed Destroyah

  • @steventheraiderful my bro told me godzilla killed destroyah and the amry kille godzilla

  • @Airsoftman67 Well your brother was close but it was the military that killed destroyah, he tried to get away but the army & the Super X 3 use all it's fire power to take him down

  • @Airsoftman67 there is movies in between those in 91 92 93 94 then he fights destoroyah

  • Yeah that last scream is absolutely gut-renching. Tears you up

  • That is the most high pitched roar Godzilla's ever made.

  • I'm a teenager, and I still think it's sad. =( Poor Godzilla, and RIP Raymond Burr...

    you will be missed.

  • @UnknownGodzillaFan1

    he died right?

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH godzilla does not die here the sequel to this is godzilla vs biollante.since when does lava hurt godzilla anyway?

  • @godzillaisnuclea123

Dude i know , i got all godzilla movies , but godzilla 1985 died in that one , this form of godzilla was the best forme , bad ass looking , huge canines and fangs , good lloking , i know biollante know even godzilla final wars 2003 , but godzilla 1985 died R.I.P godzilla 1985

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH Oh, du meintest die Klage wurde nie wieder Ich dachte, Sie hätten nicht begriffen, dass diese godzilla das gleiche wie Godzilla vs biollante, sorry ist.

  • @godzillaisnuclea123 What other time has Godzilla been in lava? None that I can recall.

  • @J1A8son truth

  • @J1A8son godzilla vs mothra 92 He swims through it.he even breaks out the volcano in godzilla vs biollante the sequel to this.

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH Yes, Raymond Burr past away a couple years ago. I liked him in all the films he was in, and even here, he still tried to hold up to his performance from 1955 here. So, RIP Raymond.

  • @UnknownGodzillaFan1 Burr died in 1993

  • @UnknownGodzillaFan1

:-( why the people died? why god allow such of things

  • Comment removed

  • I love this scene and the final roar godzilla does when he jumps into the mouth of the volcano....such an epic scene both sad and epic

  • This scene allways makes me cry.

  • Who the fuk are these guys!!??? 1:52???!!!

  • babys get a load of i am fan to but it is just a movie and i also learnd a ugly truth its a man in a coustem maybey he died and they killd godzilla thumbs up if true and down if they got tired of godziila

  • That visual at 2:12 is what i remember the most of this movie. the last time i saw this entire movie was at least 25 years ago. I remember the music now. depressing as hell despite him living. At this point when it was made, I figured he died,

  • i think they should make the film were it left off after 1985 were Taliban or al qaeda suicide bombers blow him out

  • 2:14 that did it for me

  • this scence always makes me cry till this day good thing that i pretty much watched thw whole godzilla series except for three

  • 2012 HE COMES BACK ^_^

  • @sasami2008 theyre making a new one in 2012?

  • @MrBayLove408 Yes i think summer he is come in back 2 the Big Screen I cant wait N its not the 2nd part to the 1998 Movie this NEW 1 is said 2 b different then the Movie ^_^

  • totally this big fella was my hero but godzilla doesnt die ever!!! He lives inside every one of his fans

  • Dammit dude. Did you HAVE TO CUT OUT before we heard Martin's eulogy?

  • I respect your sadness but you guys need to get a grip. Godzilla survives this and comes back in Godzilla vs. Biollante. He doesn't die till Godzilla vs. Destoroyah(yeah you sons of bitches go cry to the ending of that movie, he frickin melts but his son comes back to life to replace him).

  • Damn i'm 30 and hearing that last scream just made my eyes water, love godzilla always

  • Omg cried so hard a kid, cried even more as an adult man this chokes me up now.

  • what makes this scene so sad is the symbolic nature

godzilla was once an innocent creature, but was made a monster by the tradgedy that is the ignorance of mankind

it was man's goal to use nuclear power to create the ultimate weapon, and that weapon became godzilla

what finally defeated him in the end was not a weapon of mans creation, but a force of nature

at last he was swallowed by the earth where all life is laid to rest

  • Hearing godzilla's scream and cry when I was a kid, it made me cry.... I'm glad im not the only one

  • i like the sad music i cried every time i heard this music and that godzilla almost died

  • @bloodtherhood

    sub me :-)

  • : (

  • Im so glad I wasnt alone with the crying.

  • This ending is very much idenical to Terminator 2's ending.

    Godzilla: I'll be back!

  • You can see in the anti-godzilla crew eyes what they think. The same thing than Bainbridge front of the first nuclear explosion during Trinity test: "Now We Are All Sons-of-Bitches". The tragedy is the world would have had some place, somewhere, for this big lizard, but humanity hadn't time to let him live. Sad.

  • LOL wtf was that scream at 2:16 x) R.I.P godzilla

  • when i first saw this i balled my eyes out and i still cant get over his scream at the end :*- (

  • Thanks for the upload. I love this movie but really hate seeing Godzilla die.

As a Godzilla fan, that last (chilling) roar is heartbreaking. :(

  • why are the people in the movie crying if godzilla is destroying the city?

  • He shoulda went out like SCHWARZENEGGER in Terminator 2 with a thumbs up. Or like Stan in American Dad flippin da bird.

  • I didn't fare any better watching this now at 19 than I did when I was 6. Still made me cry.

  • @ApostleT

    r.i.p godzilla 1985 , the best godzilla

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH He doesnt actually die. In the movie that follows this one, "Godzilla vs Biollante". Turns out he actually takes a 4 year nap/hibernation inside a pocket of magma in the volcano. He's released when terrorists set explosives on the volcano.

  • @G11354

DUDE I KNOW , just leave my sadness alone - R.I.P godzilla 1985

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH And then, Godzilla 1989 was born.

  • @G11354 Yes THat is true but really he was Cage in the volcano Till he Wakes up and save the planet and the reason why he save the planet is cause he wont to destroy japan himself

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH Um... He's not dead. He came back in Godzilla vs Biollante. He came right out of a volcano.

  • @Terminatorzilla This very same volcano in fact, Mt. Mihara (which is in fact a very real, and very active, volcano in Japan); it was Bio Major's bargaining chip with the Japanese government in Biollante-- hand over the Anti Nuclear Energy Bacteria to us, or we detonate bombs inside Mihara, and free Godzilla. They do end up complying, but the bombs go off anyway, and the King of the Monsters is free once more... and EXTREMELY pissed.

  • @Terminatorzilla He's not dead yet! He's getting better! Random python reference.

  • @ApostleT

I'm 31 and first watched it when i was 5. Same reaction here.

  • 2:13 is the most terrible cry I've heard from Gojiro :(

  • Oh man, I saw this when I just a kid. Seems like everyone cried just a little when he fell =(

  • he didnt die he came back in Godzilla vs Biolanntie however this is one of the best movies of Godzilla

  • God damn, i just cant stop crying at this part. Just cant.

  • @ROGUEKILLER298

me 2 :( is soo sad

  • @ROGUEKILLER298 me too when i saw the ending of Godzilla 1985 i cry when i found out that Godzilla die by fell into a volcano.

  • big deal, he got out of it like a week later.

  • That last cry at the end really made me cry ;(

  • Godzilla will never die, his legacy will live on.... Beware of 2012...

  • @gzillag

    :)

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH fuck I hope so. This world is going down the hole faster then ...then ...Godzilla did*Cries* x*O

  • Farewell, Godzilla. (Salutes)

  • I REMEMBER CRYING WHEN I SAW THIS PART WHEN I WAS LIL .

  • farewell old buddy ;(

    I MISS HIM

  • @SuperUndertaker79

    i miss him too

  • that high pitch scream at 2:14 is so morbid! omg its so painful to listen to! DAMMIT GODZILLA!!! STOP BREAKING MY HEART!!

  • @Hershey2553 MUST NOT CRY! I can't!!

  • @Hershey2553

    brake my heart soo bad

  • This scene is proof that the cybot is far better than the suit. It should've been used in more scenes.

  • Cried like a baby when I saw this as a kid.

  • @SportsOpinions me to lol

  • I'm with a few others on here. I'm 27, and this brings back so many memories.

  • Thank God that scream isn't in the Japanese version.

  • That scream is truly haunting.

  • funny is how raymond burr mentions later that he says "Just for the record 30 years ago they never found his corpse" stating they werent sure if they killed him originally but they later find out they 15 years later they find godzilla 1954's bones out in the ocean and build it to become Kiryu or better known as Mechagodzilla . though this godzilla dies eventually he melts down in godzilla vs destroyah which could mean there are only two godzilla's left or one

  • @MAXIMUMGODZILLA45 Those movies are of two completely different series, which means they never tied in. In both series there were only 2 godzillas.

  • @JustinThoj well your right the kiryu thing im absoulutely right though im sure of that. but then again i cant stand it sometimes how they throw this plot everywhere i mean serisouley why cant it stay on task and not go like in between timelines i mean they keep making sorta sequels to the original so they think the original was only golden glory and the others were crap or something. main thing i really want to know is where the crap did king ghidorah came from im not kidding he has no origin!

  • @MAXIMUMGODZILLA45 I cannot agree more!!!!!! I fucking HATED how the millenium series was all about new storyline after another after another after another. I can understand after maybe 5 or 6 films then starting off again with another 5 or 6, but one after another is ridiculous.

  • @MAXIMUMGODZILLA45

i got the movie full in mega video and Godzilla vs Biollante

  • This used to make me cry my eyes out when I was a kid.

I still get choked up over it.

  • he didn't die. he was released from the volcano when Biolantte was made.

  • @kingofmonsters14

i know i got ALL GODZILLA MOVIES

  • @kingofmonsters14 You're right! I was just watching that one last night! lol

  • You know. I muted this before I even came to this clip. I love Godzilla. I'm 28 and I still can't watch the end of this movie.

  • @rodan70

i am 27, an that final scream before Godzilla falls in still gets me to this day.... I remember as a kid being so depressed after that scene... It was hard to watch... Then i found ''Godzilla vs Biollante'' an was thrilled when he came out an kicked ass.

But this was truly a touching scene.

I don't know about you but i am looking forward to the ''American Reboot'' of Godzilla by Legendary Pictures in 2012 or 2013... Have you heard a lot about it?

  • Can you upload the movie?

  • @TheChrisminator19 i do and check what happen

    this was my last account

MuerteyMalevolencia , when u see what happen repley me

  • @IBroLLyISePhIrOtH Are you going to uploaded it on YouTube. I have been waiting for it for a long time.
