Well, to be honest he took 3 real steps with his non pivot foot.The other 6 or less were with his pivot. He is allowed to do as many steps as he wants with his pivot foot which is his left in this case. So basicly he did 3 steps which is travelling and the others with his pivot which dont really matter.Know you will be thinking 'But he didnt take only 3 steps whith his right foot' Thats because he did some slides with his left foot .he foot does leave the ground.
