Somebody please tell me what the sample is.....ba ba ba ba bah.....ba ba ba ba bah...sick. This track is ridiculous. I remember when hip hop policed itself and if you were a duck MC, you got called out. No biting allowed. WTF has happened to that spirit that permeated throughout the early days and so called "golden era" of hip hop? I'd love to see Drake or Lil Wayne put in a time machine to say....1991. OH it would get real ugly for them quick
@MrKentuckyHeadhunter If you copy and paste the following, it will take you the site of sample info : Main Source feat. Neek the Exotic's Fakin' the Funk sample of The Main Ingredient's Magic Shoes
YO I THINK RAPPERS RIGHT NOW NEED TO TAKE NOTICE OF WHAT'S BEING SAID IN THIS SONG PARTICULARY THE BEGINNING WHEN HE SAYS "THIS IS SOMETHING TO WHICH YOU MUST BE TRUE."
look how fucking calm they are! Now all the bitch ass faggy rappers of today jump 'round like they got diarrhea or some shit. God damn it wake the fuck up everybody!!!
I still say" niggaz fakin the funk "in 2011 and I was 11 when I heard this song. You do some fake shit or i hear fake shit i say 'you fakin the funk'. This impacted me and I'm from down south so you know this is some incredible music it reach all over not just east.
Damn, I still say 'Fakin the Funk' to this day! Funny how current artists like Drake, Kanye, Wayne wouldn't square up with 90's rappers - flipping auto tune sing song with lyrics - stick to rhyming gentlemen!
(2011) And Still Fakin The Funk ,Man The World Got To Be Coming To A End For Real, Even TV Sucks Today Its All Boring Bunch Of Reality Tv Crap,They Play The Old Shows Like Martin And Fresh Prince Cause Thats All Yu Got Is The Old Shows,People Who Are Real Hip Hop Headz Need To Go To The Wack Fake Rappers More Like Gay Talkers Cause Theyre Wack Concerts And Find Some Way To Make This Track Come Out Real Loud On Speakers So Every One Can Hear FAKIN The Funk,You Fakin THe Funk,Fakin The Funkkkkkk!.

@str8outtatexas1 Not interested in a war but ill say this. I like Drake, Wayne, Ye (sometimes), Big Sean and more than a few Waka, Gucci and French Montana songs(and I was born in 78). @TheMunchMaster Sorry to hear this is the first time you've heard this. you must have not had anyone expose you to true hip hop. At least you know good music when you hear it. Educate yourself and look up all the old school shit. you'll be glad you did.
@civicdoc Sorry to hear that this is the first time you've heard this. Your access to old school hip hop must be extremely limited but at least you know good music when you hear it. Educate yourself young blood and look up all the old school shit. You'll be glad you did and you'll see that today's rap is pure trash!
@TheMunchMaster Damn bro you must have been freeze dried or doin' hard time! Or you're just a youngin" Or maybe a bubble gum chewin rap listini' cat this is the really real 4 real 4 real!

92% of teenagers have turned to New school and Pop.If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music, copy and paste this message to another 5 videos
I've heard most of best Rap from golden era (early-mid 90's NYC) and if I had to choose only 1 Rap Track as best I ever heard of all time (considering lyrics, beat, delivery, originality as true, raw and unfiltered sound of NYC streets) THIS would be my choice. It simply doesn't get any better than this... It is ironic that best rap track ever is ABOUT rappers who belong to "sell out" category... and yes, about all those who are fakin' the funk! :) Brilliant and timeless stuff!

And I do realize that now hip hop is a form of showbiz. (Uh huh)
