mr writer is his next door neighbour actually.

one day when he had run our of sugar the stereophonic chap noticed his neighbour writing weird thoughts down on a piece of used toilet paper as he popped around to get some sugar.

"mr writer neighbour" as the song was supposed to be called wrote nasty things about mr stereophonic. Things like "ooh ahh do you like my handbag and gladrags you mincer!
