Ben, we missed you at the TCI show 2011. I'm so happy that you are making motocross safer for kids. You are a Hero, and because of what you have done so far, hopefully all those other fathers will be able to be with their sons. Thank you.
all this cussing under the comments is uncalled for. i knew Ben personally. we grew up together & it was very tragic that this happened. can yall at least respect the fact that they are making an effort? they put this safety system at North Florida Motocross. I'm not sure if they put them at Pax where Ben actually passed away at. i think this is a great start & hopefully they do get put up in motocross tracks everywhere. Ben was such a good person. we love you so much & you are missed.
are you high? dying is a possibility when it comes to anything you do, that doesn't mean you cant drastically reduce the risk involved (like his poor dad is doing) and take away from the fact that its a terrible tragedy. im sure if you lost a son you wouldn't think, Oh well that's motocross. you're a real moron.
your ideas are great, but the reality is that the majority of track owners DON'T CARE!! In any other buisness if there is an injury or a death there is immediate action to prevent a similar occurence. All parents and riders do is talk talk talk. When are they going to ban together and hit the tracks where it hurts. The pocketbook. Riding is dangerous enough and those of us who ride except that risk. Go to Pax tomorrow nothing has changed.
