This is a beautiful video. What a beautiful tribute to a wonderful lady... a lady who cared about our world and the people living in it. Woodie's song is perfect also. I know Odetta is gone, but at one point I felt I heard her voice for a brief second. That gave me chills. So many great singers and activists have come together to show they care also. I don't know why I keep coming back to watch this video, because I cry EVERY time. I know it's a celebration of a simply marvelous performer's life, but I still cry. I guess it's because I feel sorry for myself that this wonderful singer is no longer with us. I was lucky enough to see PP&M in concert a few years ago and Mary's voice, even at her then advanced age, was still as clear as a bell. I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to see these three in my lifetime. RIP dear Mary.

From Ottawa Canada as well, I have been a fan since I was 13. Now 35 and their harmony was amazing. The time they spent doing what they thought was the right thing. Love them for that. RIP Mary, sorry I only got to see them once.... Youtube will allow me to watch them over and over again. Thank you for posting videos.... The lady at the end, what power... Amazing.....

I remember so well hearing of Mary's passing and in celebration of her birth November 9...I added a song called Change by Meg Chrisitan. It seemed right.

What a wonderful tribute to a truly wonderful life. It is great to see such a great celebration of her wonderful life. Much has been written about Mary's "battle with cancer." In her case especially, the "battle" metaphor strikes a dissonate note for one who did so much for peace in her lifetime. I prefer to think she endured her ordeal with cancer showing the same grace and spirit she showed throughout her life. As with war, cancer has no winners or losers.

@AliceMarr I so agree Alice! As wonderful as it is to see so many in support, I just can't bear to see the two of them without Mary. there is such a tangible empty space there, that will NEVER be filled by anyone else.

This is so beautiful and upbeat. I've been a PPM fan since I was a kid in '62 I also admired the commitment and energy Mary put into social justice issues. I'm somewhat more conservative and we didn't share the same view on all political issues ... but even on issues where I felt differently, I still admired the energy and commitment she put in.
