@ettiesgirl You may be right but my feeling is that they were trying to be taken a bit more seriously by the audience. No phony fixed smiles, no dance steps, just a group of musicians wanting to come across as serious musicians.
@dbailey62 Yes, they had already changed their names and costumes were gone. By this time, I think Mark was pretty much doing most everything. On some of their songs like, Indian Reservation, the Raiders weren't even in the studio...total solo by Mark. And Mark was the only one who performed on Goin' to Memphis. I think it is so unfair that their antics made others look down on them...The Beatles had a look...what about Sgt Pepper? Oh well many of us know how great they were!
I had this 45..,oh man I used to play it all the time and wished Mark would let me...He is still hot to this day.Lets get Paul Revere and the Raiders in the music hall of fame people, they gave us years of great songs and entertainment and they deserve to be there.Google induct Paul Revere and lets get them in there!!!!
That's the way it was back then. If you look at any band on youtube you will noticed that they are not even hooked up. That does not mean that that the bands did not play their own instuments. I saw these guys in person back then and they were 100% for real Mark was a skilled sax. player Paul mastered the keyboard the way Jerry Lee Lewis did and the rest of the guys were great guitar players . They were even admired by Jimi Hendrex.
i think he looks good with a beard

Yes, they all played their own instruments. Boy you can tell they are very unhappy here though. This must have been the beginning of the end.
