As for 'playing flat,' it's very likely. It's actually rather likely that it's neither standard or flat, but, basically some place in between. I have a bad habit of not taking the time to correctly tune my guitar to a particular key ;-)

yamaha guitar in tune. is that a FG400-A? i had a 400-A

and after about a month GAVE it to a friend. oh well, get watcha pay for.

Most likely, I'm tuned down a 1/2 step to Eb. I'm always switching between those two and usually just end up recording in whatever tuning I happen to be in at the time.
