  • it's a great little serve =) not alot more to say!

  • tip: jump/move through the ball into the court, stay on balance and dont fall backwards

  • The rachets to big for her

  • wow I'm impressed!

  • Wrong racket / Wrong Balls / Wrong Coach

To bad for someone with talent that gets wasted

  • @timmethy19 Why would you say that? My father coached me and now I don't play like that...

    -Sarah

  • @dmd0406 I say that , because you got talent...

Tip: try to get more balanced during and after your server... Look at the comment from copurple11ok.. he got a point there..

But the heavy racket could cause some injuries for young aged players

  • @dmd0406 Dear sarah. your racquet is indeed not the 1 you should use .

in the serve the direction your body goes also helps direct the ball the rite way. so you would like to move forward into the court .

your body goes to the wrong place .

Your very talented, good luck .

just another advice from some foreign coach .

  • @dmd0406 anyways you needed in that time low compression balls and a smaller raquet...

  • @timmethy19 I agree

  • @timmethy19

exelente comentario, se nota que esta niña tiene a un ignorante como entrenador

  • try tossing more out in front. I have the same problem, my muscle memory makes it difficult to toss out in front. You'll develop poor serving motion and top spin from trying to bend back like that. You'll be able to throw yourself into the court with more power if you toss out in front. Keep it up!

  • smasheh. have you ever played jennifer capriati tennis on the old sega genesis system, adavantay sara,,, best of luck in the future.

  • nice shots and funny reactions to some of them lol, especially when u randomely laugh and hop up and down :)

  • ball looks like an orange/grape fruit to her

  • @alZiiHardstylez

Sorry my math was a little off. My serve on average in km/h is 180-190 which in mph is 111-116?? My top is 210-215, but all I know is that my top is 131 mph flat serve.

  • @alZiiHardstylez

I hit my top serve not in a match, but at a demo at my old country club. They had speedometers set up clocking shots all all 6 courts. I don't have videos of that, but I have videos of me doing it, just not on my channel. And I'm not gonna lie, but when your 6'3", your going to be able to put more pace on the ball.

  • @alZiiHardstylez

I do actually, and I'll give you a little background information bud. I've been playing tennis for around 6 years. I started when I was around 9. I played on usta states and got into the top 25 in 12's a week before I was 13. I stopped due to hand injuries. I got into 14's made my self a name, moved to southerns, and moved into nationals where I broke into the top 100, before I had to stop playing for a while due to shin splints and arthritis. And i do hope you understand I'm

  • Haha, kick-serve out of nowhere. Kid has better consistency than me.

If she continues with tennis and practices her technique, she'll be a star.

  • She already serves better than Dementieva ever did...

  • In another 10 years or so, you could be the best player on the WTA tour!

  • @BUGATTIFAN25

What's the consistency on your serves at that speed. I'm 15, but I'm pretty tall. My average serves at around 180-185 km/h. My peaks are around 210-215 km/h, and my top is 218 km/h. How consistent are you with big serves?

  • @LaxPlayer8796 You're full of shit, do you have a video of you serving 200+?

  • hahahahaha the raquet is even bigger than she is this look funny

  • Hey Sarah. I'm a 12 year old tennis player from Brisbane Australia, I would like to talk more tennis with you if you don't mind ? (:

  • In the UK she'd be the women's number 1.

  • I would also recommend a lighter racquet for her...

Me and my bro love tennis too

my first serve average speed is 180kph, im 15 and i just have 4 years of experience. my brother is 10, he has 4 years of experience too and his serve touches 160kph

  • I hope your technique is better now... it looks like you're applying wrist snap, which is wrong... it should be forearm pronation. Look at slo-mo vids of Fed, Nadal, Roddick, etc serving.

  • the fucking is the round mon

  • 0:45 super monkey ball sound

  • What's up with 61 dislikes? Whats not to like?

  • Even if people don't think this a perfect vid, no need to dislike it. She's 8 give her a break! The video doesn't claim she is the next world number one!

  • if I would start playing at this age I would had been playing last sunday at 4 in the morning on ESPN ...

  • The racket's bigger than her

  • that racket is huge for her

  • SHE HAS A TALENT! SHE CAN HANDLE HEAVY RACKETS! GOOD KID! :)

  • is this a same girl with whom novak djokovic played 4 fun during this years australian open?????????

  • I always seem to find this video when I watch tennis videos, hi Sarah! Please stop leaving negative comments, I know her and her father don't care so stop wasting your time. I think she's ranked like 5 in her age group, in our region... and her dad knows what he's doing, I think he coached her older brother who is the best tennis player, I know to be honest.

  • Why can't I do that?

  • another words her palm should face the ground not the sky before she gets into the "L" position.

  • I dont like this serve because it is not done correctly. As she tosses up the ball, when her right hand and arm go up before she gets into the "L" position, her palm should be facing down when her right arm and hand start going up, then the palm can open up when approaching the scratch back position. HER PROBLEm in this video is that the right "palm" opens up way too soon.

  • wow your really good.

  • Hi sarah, I was wanting to know as I want to teach my neice to enjoy the game of tennis!

She is 8 and the same size as you in this vid. Could you possibly tell me some drills and things that i could do with her at the tennis courts? Thanku!

  • @Shauno19882010baby Ok so you can practice just feeding the balls because that’s the most important step! Technique is very important for the future. Try practicing good stategies. Develop eye hand coordiantion, which is the only way someone will be good at tennis! Good luck~ sarah

  • Absolutely awesome.....I love her 8 year old manner...The father or coach is even greater....I can hear his patience and encouragement throughout the serves.... Pro or no-pro....little girl has a sport she can enjoy the rest of her life because of one simple reason.....The encouragement she is receiving.... I hope she becomes a super star...

  • You suck you idiot and you're ugly no one would marry you

  • @EveryThingHelp1 Pretty sure no one would marry you either with your piece of crap personality :)

  • Her racquet should be smaller

  • the awesome thing is that her serve percentage is better than any 1.0-3.0 lol

  • nice spin anyway

  • I think the racket is bigger than sarah ;D btw well done in 8 this is amazing hitting

  • Comment removed

  • omg i cant even serve that good and im in high school *____*

  • @ekeenfour lol i have the same problem and im on varstiy as a freshman in highschool :(

  • Her racket is too big and its stopping her follow through. She does have talent :)

  • Love to see her so excited! Very cute.

  • nice, keep training

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • @HamperedKnave2 she should play with a smaller racquet....the size of that is hurting her technique for sure.

  • @djshellshock1 My comment was meant to express how cute she looks practicing her serve. (no pedophile) I wasn't even talking about the racquet size. Why did you reply to me anyway?

  • @djshellshock1 yes and a smaller court she should be playind red/orange tennis

  • She already serves better than many of the women pros on the circuit! Nice to see a girl/woman working on her serve!!!!

  • @bsullivan161 Explain that, please.. she's falling all over the place, off-balnce. The actual serve speed is probably no more than 60-70mph

  • the racket is bigger than her

  • If an 8-yr old can hit consistent serves with a full-size adult racquet, then hitting consistent forehands and backhands will be no problem. Well done!

  • I read comments and I see bunch of "coaches". HELLO? she is just a little girl and she is doing what she loves. I don't care if there is other kids better than her or whatever she is doing wrong. Just relax guys!

  • Hey Sarah i would really consider getting a smaller racquet and put lead in it if you want heavier but this racquet is not going to help you... other than that your the best 8 year old i have seen play you really good. i wish i had the same consistency as you.

  • @xmodcamaro Thank you so much(: Now i play with a babolat and put some led tape on it. I'm 12 now but still about that size in that video >.<

    -Sarah

  • @dmd0406 thats very good to hear, i hope you get better and hope you still love the game for years to come. but if your still the same size start to drink milk! that will help your growth trust me i used to be your size around 8 and then i really got into milk and now i am 5'11", diet and exercise will make you great.... keep improving!

  • @dmd0406

hey same I am 12 too... Please post a vid. of how you play now please!!! I want to see how you play!! I play tennis too, and I started at about 8.

    -Jamie

  • She's eight and she can hit serves. Wanna fucking cookie?

  • Hi everyone! This is Sarah! We will be posting more videos of my strokes soon... thanks for watching! (: Keep in touch with our channel .

  • Gr8 for 8!

  • If I were her Id make her first serve more flat then spinny because I play tennis and I could wack that serve but she is still pretty good for her age from 1 to 10 id give her a 6 but thats only my opinon

  • @dolphinlover9907 ALL serves are hit with spin - not flat.

  • She is not bad at all. Peaple should encourage a girl like that. She have a lot space to improve and i hope she does that. Good Luck to you Sarah! Hope to see you playing in a Grand Slam some day...

  • She's very bad, at my tennis school there childrens of 8 that are way better!

  • well done

  • when she goes to snap over her head it falls back, she needs to keep it stable and straight for the follow through..

  • GREAT JOB

  • Where is this? Maybe Sutton tennis Academy>

  • WoW!...The raquets bigger than her!...

  • terrible racket. she needs a lighter weight the baby can barely swing. The racket is traveling very slowly. Good service motion though sweet heart, keep playing. You will do well.

  • shes gonna end up with shoulder injury with a raquet that heavy, plus it also cuts down on here swing speed and mobility for her strength

  • @hexoonable It looks like she might be snapping her wrist; that will cause shoulder problems as well (it should be forearm pronation with no wrist snap).

  • @ARTZY64 That sounds like a Vic Braden comment....wrist snap is good..look at Revolutionary Tennis. Pros all say they snap their wrist and the do..

  • @machivellisucs Yeah, Vic... and I've also studied what the Revolutionary Tennis site has come up with. I'm talking about no forward snap... are you? Google 'maclennan secrets of the serve youtube'. I would personally tear the tendons to shreds if I were to snap my wrist forward on the serve.

  • @ARTZY64 forward and to the right, but it varies depending on if i'm doing topspin, etc.

  • @ARTZY64 That was a cool video you mentioned ...have you seen this one: rod laver serve video btw I saw wher p mac was mentioning using the wrist in his dummies book...

  • She backed while serving this is a bad mark. You should rather lean forward and that racket looks quiet heavy for her. I am a 12 year old and I play almost pro tennis. My serves would be better but for a 8 year old with a few mistakes its not a problem.Nice work.

  • @teamofreally See how her body moves toward the net after contact on the serve at 0:09. All the others she is falling back

  • @teamofreally I was kidding about the "I win". Also on that serve at 0:09 see how her right foot steps toward the net. Then watch every other serve and watch how her right foot goes to the side.

  • @teamofreally look at her second serve at 0:09-0:13. It is by far her best and fastest serve, and her body doesn't look all contorted. Notice her toss. I win.

  • damn, her serve is better than mine...

  • She Is Having A Bright Future .....

  • That's why serves at that size suck, cause you cant do anything with it., Smaller players have trouble liek me... Luckily she will grow up and be a good player :P

  • Poor girl, she looks like shes having NO fun at all

  • @JollyBiscuit She keeps wanting to stop lol

  • haha she is shorter than the net but good

  • She is an amazing little player! im not being demanding, but teach her to throw the ball just in front of her face because then the maximum amount of power can be produced in the serve and make it a metre higher then the height of the player (just whilst she is learning to become a fluent and good server). By doing this she will be able to be more acurate and she can see the ball. The best of luck to the both of you and i hope you go far in tennis!

  • @xOpticZoomx She's hitting kick or topsin serves... in which case you throw the ball over, and even behind your head, and brush up.. that's why she's not falling forward

  • Wow, she's really good at serving. Is she hitting a kick serve? If so, to all those who are worried that she is tossing the ball behind her too far, you have to for a kick serve. That's actually a really good toss for the kick serve and you can see the serve turns out right because it kicks when it hits the court. That's the serve my coach has me doing for a second serve.

  • @NewfiGirl101 Back in the day there was a serve called the 'American Twist' which jumped up and off to your right. Good serve to pull a guy wide off the ad court. The way to hit that serve is to stand almost parallel to the court, toss a little behind your head, and then brush up at the ball. It's a slow serve though.. make sure you don't rush the net too quickly... the ball might hit you on the back of the head on the way in LOL

  • Brilliant serving from the kid.

  • She's obviously doing well with the racquet, I'm with not changing success.

  • Great job BRAVA to this girl and whomever is coaching her! And to the critiques, try watching some slow mos of the pros and you will see they do NOT toss the ball where "traditionalists" say they should. Big lean back with straight back with launch upwards and forward, but up first. Fantastic serve for Sarah, wishing you well !

  • she is brilliant , serve is the hardest thing to do in such an age :)

  • don't listen to the critics. the girl and whoever taught her had done a great job. if you have ever tried to teach the serve to a kid that young then you can appreciate the great effort the coach (parent) and the girl had gone through.

the serve looks to me like a kick serve. great for second serves. for more power, the ball should be more in front. great job!

  • i can beat this kid!

  • Future Roddick, the girl version.

  • i cold do a twist when i was 11

  • Wow! That racquet must be 110 sq. in. :)

  • 300 gram is way to heavy... my racket isnt even 300 gram and im only 14 years old

  • @KawaiiCupcake14 Yeah this guy is trying to push this girl to be a pro. Well its a good thing if the girl like its, otherwise it'd be very bad if she doesnt.

  • its fake i think

  • dang she is good and good serves. Keep up the good work !

  • very cute 0:46

  • pretty nice for an 8 yr old... i also started playing when i was 8 and i can't even get it to service line. :( you're good. i didn't continue playing lawn tennis because in our municipality in the philippines we only have 1 court, fully occupied with grown ups. so played table tennis. it's still cool. i hope i can still play law tennis. hihi

  • awwww your good for 8 years old thts really good! i kno ppl my age who cant even get it over the net! keep it up! i started when i was 4 years old

  • the guy who gave her this racket is an idiot , look at this guys comment she loves heavier racket , and when she gets to 15 and she cant hold a glass in her hand cause her elbow is and shoulder is busted then ull say , wow how this happened

  • @nxud89 You're such a dumbass, aren't you? Your theory concerning the racket that little girl is holding is absolutely moot. Again, have you thought about the fact that it allows her to practice better and result to her gaining a strong arm?? Which as a result gives her more SERVING power and stabilized control??

You really need to think before you start calling out people to be idiots because, seriously dude!

    You're a Fool.

  • Comment removed

  • you should do a video of her now and then we can see her improvement

  • The way she kicks out her right foot at finish is adorable.

  • so many dislikes. i guess there are alot of immature lifeless ego maniac adults in tennis. it hurts me watching almost every video of young children starting young and seeing so much dislikes. mostly its jealousy. im fuckin ashamed of being part of human race when there so little compassion for the most basic and non harmful things. i mean is it that hard to be happy for someone else or is it always hate and jealousy. even for children. :l

  • nice , keep up the good work !

  • idiot

  • Hey everyone this is sarah i am very thankful for all the views and comments, thxx once again!(:

  • @Strawberries529 Bull shit

  • @bobanob596 well i was only 8 im older now!):

  • 0:44 Qué tierno!

  • lol the girl just seems happy to be spending time with her dad.

  • You don't belong on a full court. You will get better wtih right sized equipment.

  • There is more to tennis than just hitting second serves, but It's still hard at this age to do it, That is all

  • Really funny I find this, hopefully she'll be as good as her older brother some day.

  • que gente forra la que puso no me gusta en este video, solo tiene 8 años

  • for an 8 year old girl is very good

  • Her toss is way behind her which really saps a lot of power from her serve. After serving, her first few steps should be toward the net. Hard to be critical though. I mean I was peeing my pants when I was 8..

  • @adimperial If she puts the ball infront of her more she will most likely hit the ball long because she will generate no spin. She isn't tall enough to hit the ball with so much force yet. Anyway she is doing a great job and should keep up the good work.

  • @anacondaerslayer Are you serious? If she just tossed the ball and let it land, it would be about 3 feet behind her. Her toss is WAY too far behind her. I hate to be critical because she is 8, but I am just responding to your reply. Ask any pro or decent player and they will tell you the same thing.

As soon as she makes contact, her right foot should step toward the net. Look how she steps to the side after she makes contact. She will get no power and could run into shoulder problems

  • @adimperial most little kids have to toss the ball back a bit instead of forwards. They lack the height to be able to hit a ball thrown in front of them and yet have it go over the net. They need a bit of that sort of typical physics "projectile" motion (rainbow shaped) to get it over the net. but yea obviously when she gets taller or whatever the ball should definitely be thrown more out front, and maybe she can even get into the air to meet the ball. But what 8 year old does that....

  • @teamofreally It looks as though she's dropping the racquet back a little too soon in the motion (I downloaded the vid and examined it frame-by-frame in QuickTime). I used to think that it was the knee-bend that got the racquet to drop down naturally, but upon analyzing Fed' serve, it's the knee extension that gets the racquet to drop behind

  • @adimperial She has to toss behind because with 8 years you need to spin a bit the serve, because inf not it will not hit in. You have to understand that her height determines a lot her serve xDDD I think she has a better 2nd serve than me xD

  • @adimperial I imagine at 8 years old they are going more for consistency and control not power. I am sure like a lot of tennis programs for younger kids they basically teach them a second serve motion.

  • pffffft, i can take her

  • Oh my. Just for her age, her top spin accuracy is very high. Keep the good work.

  • good work sarah

  • Her accuracy, it's way better than mine!!!

  • the next sharpova.

  • i can beat her...i think

  • is that a kick serve?

  • @jetlee2k dude we don't want to hear you brag about your son and dissing this girl. Go somewhere else and do that, but not here

  • the racket is bigger then her

  • buy her a junior racquet, that racquet is heavy

  • She is older now.Plays with Babolat storm control .This raquet is about 300 g.with lead tape at the tip and in the handle. She loves havier raquet.

  • @dmd0406 i agree with mrmodernfx. i personally love heavier racquets but its really bad for young player's shoulders. i tore my rotator cuff using a 340 g racquet when i was 15. im not saying this to criticize your judgement or anything but if you want to preserve her arm i recommend her using a lighter racquet.

  • @dmd0406 She might love it, her joints won't.

  • @dmd0406 Any videos of her playing now? Just want to see how well she did over the years.

  • @dmd0406 I used a heavy racket when I was under ten, I got ligament damage...

  • @dmd0406 I'm on my high school varsity team and I've always played with Wilson (Even my softball glove and helmets are Wilson haha!) but I tried a girl on my team's Babolat and I loved it! So I'm thinking about getting one!

  • Nice (if keep on playing might has a pro future). Check the 8 years old on my channel (Video while 7 years old). Hope they will have the chance to play together in the future.

  • She will do much better with a kids sized racket. Because she can't get a good serve with a big racket, since it's heavy for her and big too

  • 0:44....ihiouu

  • epistepsa trrrrrrr

  • wow so short but gets it in so easily :D

  • good form, mustve practiced a lot.

  • Great net clearance and fluid formHow heavy is the raquet?

  • lol the racquet (sorry for bad spelling) is as big as her... maybe you should buy her a smaller racquet (again, sorry) . anyway, she's very good, gotta keep her practicing.

  • great :) st
