  • Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

  • To the Catholic Church, before you talk about Spiritual Gifts, throw your idols away first and teach the people about the truth in the Bible, not some doctrines and teachings of men.

Those who would react against this post, let's have a Bible Study so that your blind eyes will be opened.

  • @TalmidRoi -You don't know our Catholic faith. Do not speculate. The Catechism of the Council of Trent (1566) taught that idolatry is committed "by worshiping idols and images as God, or believing that they possess any divinity or virtue entitling them to our worship, by praying to, or reposing confidence in them" (374). "Idolatry is a perversion of man’s innate religious sense. An idolater is someone who ‘transfers his indestructible notion of God to anything other than God’"(CCC 2114).

  • @Mishaguate Please read my message to you and reply to my inbox.

  • @gladmenarenotGod.

You are a false teacher! You do not teach the whole Scripture and you only use verses that would support your view. Now, let's look at 1 Corinthians 14. If you read through that chapter, you can see that speaking in a tongue is considered a gift, same with prophecy.

Yes, it's true that those 9 manifestations of the Spirit are signs but it didn't mean that they weren't GIFTS. If you read through 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, you can clearly see that they are Spirit-given -- GIFTS.

  • @TalmidRoi yeah I'm pretty they're talking about spiritual gifts, not so much physical signs that not everyone receives

  • @gladmenarenotGod

And in addition to my prior reply, read 1 Co. 12:9. It says there "gifts" of healing by that one Spirit.

So are you still saying that those 9 are not gifts?
