Shes good, but cmon loosen up your arm. Your stumming just looks really... stiff. If you loosen up your arm it might even be easier to sing and play at the same time.  Thats just my opinion.

@CritiqueofMany Many people strum like that for many reasons. For people who aren't as strong, it provides a better fulcrum. Strumming a guitar isn't much work, but when you do it in rapid succession at a fast pace it can get tiring. It helps keep volume and consistency since your arm isn't floating around. Also for people who are a little shorter its more comfortable than trying to hold their arm out..

@brushee Your arm actually has a lot of things to do with your guitar playing. If you play with your arm AND wrist your strumming will be way more fluid and have less arm pain. It's also easier to sing and play if you use your whole arm and not just your elbow to strum. I'm not saying it's bad or she sucks, I'm saying if she would strum more loosely she would probably be more comfortable. You don't really need to be a dick about it. This reason is valid from someone who plays guitar.

Its up to the individual to play and sing the way they feel comfortable. So using your wrist more does not mean you can sing more easily at all....which is obvious if you watch her. The only thing it will do is it may restrict her on the type of music she can play the future but thats it. I play guitar for a living
