Or you could...you now setup your desk ergonomically and have you arm not rub against the desk? theres no way you can be rubbing your arm against the desk when using proper ergonomics... the mouse should be below your arm not above it.

Yup I played CS:S for about 4 years and I was never swinging my arm around, my perfect sensitivity would allow me to fully turn 180 degrees with about 3-4 inches of movement. warpad seems excessive. if not the size....then its $60 price tag. Somebody needs to make a nice quality LEATHER wrist rest. Rubber sole so nonslip, and little beads for cushioning. Gel is too stiff, foam is too soft. RAZER, STEELSERIES get on it!

Im so surprised that SOOO many people don't use a mouse pad.  You don't need to spend a fortune(and some mousepads are spendy), but if you ask me, its ten times better then using the mouse on a glass or laminate workspace.

Then again, I know a lot of people dont actually buy nice mice, but the cheapest mouse possible, so it might not make a difference.

But if you're using a mouse which isn't a pos, you should use a mouse pad as well.

@JmanEspresso Since optical and laser mice started to become common, mouse pads have kind of become less relevant. The main reason people had them before was because the mouse ball wouldn't track properly on some surfaces and it got a lot dirtier a lot faster when not using a mouse pad. That isn't really a problem with optical/laser mice. Most laser mice track just fine on glass by the way.
