Nice job staying alive on Gigantaur! See, ReRaise is, quite literally, a life saver. Also, it's one of the few battles I cast Ultima in, as well. And I, as a rule, hate using Ultima.
Ahh, Gilgamesh! Straight out of FFV, sprite and all! You can steal a Genji Glove or the rare Genji Shield, but if Locke is under lvl. 47, auto-fail. It is a mathematical impossibility to steal from him unless Locke's at least lvl. 47. But, when you win, he'll drop either the Genji Helmet or Genji Armor. Continued
Actually, Gilgamesh hits pretty hard. I usually use either Golem to help against his physicals, or another thing I normally hate to do, summon Phantom to become invisible.
After you take away about 1/3 of his HP, he'll cast Protect & Shell, and only use physical attacks. That's nice to know. WATCH OUT! He'll throw some famous swords at you, which will basically be a OHKO, unless you're vanished. OK. I'll shut up now.
I believe Meteor is also a spell that doesn't miss just like Ultima, although you didn't teach it to anyone before upgrading Odin.
Let's see.... stuff you haven't done yet... Earth Dragon at the Opera House, for one. You've done almost all the "miniquests," but I believe there's still Ebot's Rock and the Cultists' Tower.
There's also the Dinosaur Forest. Do you plan on trying to get a Celestriad?. It might be useful for when you go to the Cultists' Tower...
Oh, by the way, I'm sorry if I seem like I'm backseat LP-ing. I've commented on most of your FFVI Advance videos and I guess it's a bit insensitive of me to keep saying stuff I think you should do in the next vid, etc. I should just let you play the game the way you want to and just enjoy the ride =(
I had a lot of trouble with Gilgamesh as he wouldn't stop throwing weapons at me, and that's a instant kill since it deals 9999. I had to repeat like 5 times just to kill him, and I didn't even stole the Genji equipment he had. Ah well, you win some and you lose some.

You HAVE to use reraise? You can beat this guy without reraise. Gotta love maximum defense!!!:D

@veteran0121 Yeah, maximum defense would be a good alternate strategy.

oh, since you fought him here, I HIGHLY suggest you play FF5A at some point... you'll see why he's sort of a fan favourite there.

I hated that Gigantaur battle. Gilgamesh was much more fun by comparison.
(Whenever you say Gigantaur, I keep flashing back to the "Night At The Museum" movies.)

An excellent 100th-episode special!

Don't worry about it. It's interesting what you think I'm gonna do next.

Gigantuar has got to be the funniest looking monster in the game. I wonder why they made him with a 1920's style mustache?
Fortaz107 2 years ago 2
The 1920s are AWESOME is why.

Nice job on Gigantuar.
I remember fighting this guy in my LLNMG, my goodness, I must have needed 50+ resets just to beat him.
