  • @Braeria Hi remember it well my mother sometimes hid all my clothes

yet years after any thing that she see's on the tv about wigan

    she tell everyone with pride

"Our Andrew used to go there " Parents Who'd have them ?

  • to: "Im 14 just buyed"......well done.....keep investigating....check out Elgins(Heaven), Chairman of the Board(Time), Four Tops(Stone), O Jays(Train), Donnie Elbert, Martha & Vandellas etcetc....probably more common artists...but Elgins is my fave!

  • the term northern soul is misunderstood. Its just mowtown in a secondhand environment of the time. Soul music can only be attributed to its origins, as that is where it was made. Northern soul is just a tag of an era of a place that had nothing to offer at the time, but kept the belief from a dream.

  • where does the northern come from in "northern soul"? can anybody enlighten me? great music...

  • @joker22munzo It comes from the fact that this type of music was being played in the clubs of northern england in the early 60's

Dave Godding then of Blues and Soul Magazine visited some of these clubs which were playing a different type of soul to the rest of the country and he coined the phrase "Northern Soul "

  • @MrAndysoul i thought that it was origanly called soul of the north,

  • Hi Mac I use to live above a hairdressers on Leys Avenue Letchworth, though I worked in Hitchen. (Sun Hotel for a while and then Wellco Electrics)

  • Im 14 just buyed...

-Ghost in my house - R.dean Taylor

    -LandSlide - Tony Clark

-What becomes of a brokern hearted - Jimmy Ruffin

-Time will pass you by - Tobi legend

For my collection of northern and motown record's LOVE NORTHERN SOUL KTF!!!

Those huge baggy trousers, with 10 pockets, and buttons. my Polyveld shoes, Soul girls, could never get the footwork right when dancing, but, who cared, the music was great, the atmoshere electric.
