  • These guys were always better than most.....they just had it all down so well......one toke over or one toke under......and their music holds up today and does not sound dated..........

  • Steve Canaday who wrote the song "Fair Play" was my brother...R.I.P.

Thank you for posting this song on youtube

  • Thanks for posting this song! Find this song and more "lost hits" and "chart wonders" from the 70's (and some 80's), on a new internet radio station, "OffTheCharts!"

Go to Live365.com and type "OffTheCharts" in the search box. Or, go to our page for the link.

This song is being featured this week (November 29).

  • if you guys ever find yourself in new england doing a show, you can bet i'll be first in line with a record for signing :)

  • I am 19 and I see you guys everytime you play at the focal point! Your guys music rocks!

  • This is still and always will be one of the best song ever ! I've heard it a thousand times and never get tired of hearing it. I remember them singing it on the Lawrence Welk show. --:)Rod

  • haha, he's playing "the hands" i don't know what he's really supposed to be doing.

  • LOL I never even noticed that.

  • it's a real shame there's no music like this around anymore.

  • Fantastic ... really well-written song. Surprised it wasn't a hit. Did Buddha release it as a single Tom?

  • Hi, Tom. Could you add me to your My Space friends list? I've been a Brewer And Shipley fan since I was 16 when I first heard One Toke. Thanks. I like this song a lot too.

  • Wherever or whenever...I like it!

  • What's with the dude in the white t-shirt. Is he playing "the hands"?

  • Man this is an awesome song !

  • BAD ASS!!! THANKS

  • Great to see this, but it sounds like the album take with different vocals. What's the story on it? I'd love to see more B&S circa '70's!

  • I don't remember. I was One Toke Over... you get it.

  • @DennisZen Saw them last night...the lead vocals were sung live, but everything else was prerecorded...

  • @DennisZen ..I can tell you this much...this song was written by Steve Canaday, my father, who was an Ozark Mountain Daredevil at the time. And the guy on piano is Paul Peterson who produced some Daredevils stuff as well.
