These guys were always better than most.....they just had it all down so well......one toke over or one toke under......and their music holds up today and does not sound dated..........

what a great duo. wasn't their first record produced by jerry garcia? i forget. well, i saw them boocoo times at the old kansas city venue called the "cowtown ballroom". good times.
This is still and always will be one of the best song ever ! I've heard it a thousand times and never get tired of hearing it. I remember them singing it on the Lawrence Welk show. --:)Rod
Hi, Tom. Could you add me to your My Space friends list? I've been a Brewer And Shipley fan since I was 16 when I first heard One Toke. Thanks. I like this song a lot too.
@DennisZen ..I can tell you this much...this song was written by Steve Canaday, my father, who was an Ozark Mountain Daredevil at the time. And the guy on piano is Paul Peterson who produced some Daredevils stuff as well.

Fantastic ... really well-written song. Surprised it wasn't a hit. Did Buddha release it as a single Tom?

Great to see this, but it sounds like the album take with different vocals. What's the story on it? I'd love to see more B&S circa '70's!
