I know some people have used these remedies with good results but I have not used them with my patients. I would say they would only work for outer ear infections as the ear drum will stop them entering the middle ear.
If you are going to try them it is vital that your ear drum is intact. If it has ruptured you should not put anything into your ears.
Sorry your ear is giving you pain. It sounds like it may be an ear infection. Your first stop should be your doctor to get a diagnosis. I would recommend you work on boosting your immune system with some vitamin C, zinc, garlic, onions, ginger, plenty of water and lots of rest. To relieve the pain you could try a heat pack held over your ear.
Sorry you are are experiencing dizziness and fainting. It could well be due to an inner ear infection especially if you have other symptoms like fever, malaise and swollen glands. I would spend a day in bed drinking lots of fluids. If it is still bad a visit to your doctor is recommended.
Sorry your ear hurts. Ask your mum or dad to make up a warm compress (just rinse a flannel or cloth under some hot water and wring it out before placing over your sore ear). You could also try heat from a hot water bottle, heat pack or even a hair dryer. You can also ask your parents to visit a health food shop to get some ear drops tomorrow.
@monocures Hi thank you so much im going to ask my mum for the ear drops these are great tips but there is also another problem with my right ear its blocked by my doctor says it cures itself but im afraid my other ear is going to get blocked to and yesturday my little sister which is 4 also had it yesturday and im afraid someone else might get and when i bend down it feels like my ears going to pop. ps. i love your accent. thnx for the tis though
I have an ear infection right now... But the awesome thing is, my ear isn't hurting right now :D My mom gave me ear drops and tylenol and i have been keeping my head down except for going to the bathroom and switching from my room to the living room...So if you haven't, do these things and i hope it gets better.
Good that you are not experiencing ear pain. Sounds like you are resting your body and keeping the pain at bay with the ear drops and tylenol. With lots of fluids, healthy foods and rest I'm sure you will bounce back quickly.
I am strangely attracted to this woman. Is it them big brown eyes or just the fact that she gave us actual ADVICE for what to do instead of just trying to sell us a video that tells us what to do.
My husky/shepard mix has a chronic Left ear infection.. It always returns... Only in the left ear... The stupid "Natural Path" Vet gave me steroids to give my dog... What the??! I thought he was a natural path vet?! Obviously the steroids didn't work but now I am out of $300 +.... Wish Vets actually knew how to treat and cure ear infections.. Its like they want you to come back to them so they can profit off your pets and your pain..
please help me , i have an ear infection , since i was 10 years old i'm 15 now, and when i get a cold , my ears hurt like hell , and i went to a doctor , he said that my ear problem is related to the bone in my nose , and i have to be 18 to do a sugery to fix it , he gave me antibiotiques but their not working ,he also said that i shoulden't swim so water don't get in my ear , i wear ear plugs from the pharmacy ... i'm despret , i don't know what to do please help me .
Thanks for your post. Sorry to hear you have a chronic ear infection.
It will help if you can boost your immunity with some vitamin C, zinc and cod liver oil.
Aim to get plenty of rest and sleep when you get an infection - this is when your body repairs itself. Try lots of hot soups and herb teas. Focus on a high protein diet, free of grains, sugars and processed foods.
A naturopath or holistic doctor should be able to help you with these therapies.
@monocures ..hi, could you advise me..i jhave had a ear infection for over years, my doctor who checked me said my ear was ok, even thought there was puss at the end of his instrument which she poked in my ear..she simply said go to hospital while claiming i had no infection..my ear drains puss and i have lost hearing about 99 per cent..ive waited in hospital for hours and end up coming home because the wait takes hours.how can i cure myself? thanks.
She said use chamomile teas to help to sleep, she then said not to drink tea since tea is a natural dirurectic and makes you pee more often than usual which would make you dehydrated.
Thus, drink one small cup of -chamomile- tea at bedtime only.
I dont know whether i have an ear infection or not, as i havnt been to a doctor but i was wondering if you could save me some time.
My ear is sore, swollen inside and i cant hear properly, i've had it for 2 1/2 days but since then i have been swimming. Also, when I eat, it hurts and makes a noise inbetween a squelch and a russel. It's not pleasant and if you could tell me whether its an ear infection, that would be great. And i have no fever or illness.
my ear is not that sore and I don't feel to bad...although I do get sharp pains sometimes and it is leaking like a watery substance and my hearing on that side has decrease (I am guessing because it is always blocked with fluid) I usually have ear problems on one side ever since it burst on the plane when I was a teenager...can you please advise what I might be able to do to remedy it - all this happened after a big night out.
I think your priority should be to reduce the production of fluid with the use of
N - acetyl cysteine (400mg twice a day) and lots of hot soups, broths
and herb teas in your diet. Ginger, garlic, turmeric and cayenne can also help as they reduce any inflammation in the ears.
I would also recommend you keep on some vitamin C, zinc, B complex, and cod liver oil to ensure the nerves in the ear are working optimally, and to reduce further infections.
i have alot of headaches and pain in my right side where my infection is, i have two little chicldrne and i have to run my home no matter what, i tend to feel very tired by 9 which is unusual, anything loud or bright hurts
For your headaches and pain have you tried some steam inhalations? Adding an anti-microbial oil like tea tree oil or euclayptus will make them even more effective.
It can be diificult when you have to run a household and look after kids when you are sick. Try and get to bed early - you need plenty of sleep to repair your body. I would also recommend you start on some vitamin C, zinc, magnesium and the B complex to help your body fight the infection and boost your energy levels.
Thank you. I'm on oral antibiotic pills right now for my ear infection, and it's been a week and the only improvement is that my pain and fever is gone. The ear is still blocked and my hearing in my left ear is down 50%. Feels like my hearing is getting worse everyday. I wrote down the stuff you said in this vid though. I'm going to the ear nose and eye doctor tomorrow. I'll see what they say.
Hi. I will say oil of oregano stopped a chronic ear infection that I carried over 2 years. I still have sensitive ear on one side but feel it may be candida which again i belive the oil of oregano will take care of soon. I use 2 drops under tongue about 2 x a day but you can read it.
cant u pour a little vinegar, or alcohol or mineral oil in your ear as a home remedy to ear infections???

She says drink tea but at 2:50 she says avoid tea because it causes dehydration.
bboyStuntZ 2 years ago
Hi bboyStuntZ,
Just to clarify that point - conventional tea, coffee and alcohol can dehydrate you.
The herb teas I refer to in the video(chamomile, ginger, peppermint, lemon etc) do not contain caffeine or tannins, and will not dehydrate your body.
Hope this helps.

Oil of Oregano. Does that burn? Or have a hot taste to it? Like spicy?
