According to Albert Speer, Germany in 1944 had enough equipment and supply for 270 Divisions (they had a total of 160) but only enough fuel to adequately supply 40 or so

@osalcido85 interesting info , can you tell me where you found this from . Fuel was always the problem for the German Wehrmacht. I think they also lacked adequate ammunition. They had ammunition but never enough and not on the scale of the allies in the later years. I read "the Germansin Normandy " and one division was saying for every 20 artillery shells they shoot off , we can let off 1 or 2
