they did the whole trilogy backwards. the last one should have been first, the first one should have been second, and the second should have been last. it confused me when i was little. so she was a mermaid who became human then had a daughter, then left and became a mermaid AGAIN?? i love the little mermaid but Disney should have thought about that.

@miyanagirl LOL....disney didn't do it chronological order. Of course they did the original little mermaid 1st, cuz it was the movie that went in theaters and had the BEST storyline, and was based off the book, while the sequels were based off the movie. When a good idea comes to you, you can't put it off later just because it isn't in order, that's why the little mermaid 2 takes place after the Ariel becomes human. You must be REALLY young if you were little wen the 3rd movie came out.
