I've never been a huge fan of Chellsie Memmel (she seems like a lovely girl and great competitor, but her form is off-putting to me), but I think she's actually improved a lot here, even minus the big skills. Her choreography on beam is miles better than it was in 08.
So what kind of competition was this? Was it for elite gymnasts or lower than that? I"m curious to know if Memmel still plans to compete at the elite level. Does she have her sights set on 2012 at all?
@eiffel65isawesome She may be slowly integrating difficulty as the nationals comes closer. It is not worth risking injury at such a small competition. It is great that the former wold champion is back.

But I was close at the covergirl classic this year, I was in line to get her autograph and there was only like 4 ppl in front of me and she was like Kay gotta go guys an she left! :/

@KMoney3187 Oh lol! I really liked Zhang's beam and Huidan's flexibility. They're pretty good! I don't know home much of a chance they have but I looked up Cui Jie and she was at the Spring Festival so maybe she didn't get sent home afterall! I hope not, they won't take her anywhere either though.

@KMoney3187 Yeah, I know what you mean! What're you thinking for 2011 Worlds? The worlds prior to an Olympics are usually good, 2013 might suck (that's usually how it is) although we have Ohashi and then there's a bunch of Russians.

@KMoney3187 Sasada's going to rock this year as a senior. She's already better than Koko! I think although this year they'll be great in Tokyo, I think their shining moment (at least for the women, the men will obviously medal in 2011 and 2012) will be in London will Murakami as senior and I'm sure they have a couple other juniors right now.

@KMoney3187 Yeah, Ana isn't that great powerwise.... A 5.0 vault isn't good when someone is doing a vault worth 1.5 more points... I figured Chelaru could do it considering she's training the full twisting double layout but why risk it at such a small event, I guess...

And what i mean by the floor is super bouncy is that the 2010 Japan Cup was held where worlds are this year and Nabieva almost did an extra flip out of her double arabian. and then when you look at her other double arabians their landed a little bit short. But i do think they use extra springs. lol
@KMoney3187 Yeah. At Bercy Musty threw a DTY and it was just as ugly as the Amanar! Definately! I mean, Nabs is training the TTY, so maybe she'll do it in Japan. Lol. Maroney is too and that's more likely although I'd rather see the signature Maroney landing than a sloppy one.

I really want to see more twisting elements off bars. The triple twist is rated as an E and I imagine that a small girl could pull off a quad.

@KMoney3187 She probably could. We're seeing too many double doubles. I almost dislike them now. I'd rather see codewhored connected tumbles. A 2 1/2 twist punch front laidout is worth the same and so is a 1 1/2 punch front laidout with a full. I also think a front double tuck with a 1/1 twist or a double front pike. Jessica Gil Ortiz was training the front double pike and some other Swiss (maybe not Swiss but some uncommon country) girl was too.
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 i cant STAND codewhores. their get on my last freakin' nerve. lol. The only codewhore skills i like are the 1 1/2+Full, Double backs, and 2 1/2 twists. I also like jumps out of tumbles like Mitchell. No one else can pull then off accept Bross and Aly.

Even if they're hard like the front layout + Randy or 1/1 front + 2/1 front which are both worth .9 and coincidentally... both used by the queen of codewhore... Miss Nastia Liukin. I think Musty does the jumps out well. I don't think they should get CV for doing those because they're avoiding sticking and get points for it.

I hope she continues AA (I might rather Grishina but right now Grishina's younger and not as good as Aliya) but it might be good that Grishina beats her in qualifications in competitions in 2011 because then Aliya might focus on mostly bars (which isn't likely) and will have a better shot for a bars gold medal. I see it possible.

@KMoney3187 I don't think Musty will be a come and go gymnast... at all. I think she will AA wise but I can see her in 2016 swinging bars. I think she's a total Khorki. You're right. That wouldn't be smart though because Russia is second best on bars. I meant that if Anastasia starts beating Aliya like now in competitions (which won't happen), Aliya might eventually start to only focus on bars. It sounds stupid and it's not likely though. This years Euro's is Aliya's title. Silver will be Porgras and bronze will probably be Dementyeva. If Aliya falls and Porgras does use the DTY, Porgras will win.

I just want you to be aware of Chusovitina because as of 2008 she was the 2nd best vaulter in the world and still going. I think she's old. You dont have to agree with me. I comment on tons of videos other than Jordyn's saying nice comments. I always comment nice. @KMoney3187 Oh lol! I really liked Zhang's beam and Huidan's flexibility. They're pretty good! I don't know home much of a chance they have but I looked up Cui Jie and she was at the Spring Festival so maybe she didn't get sent home afterall! I hope not, they won't take her anywhere either though.

@KMoney3187 Sasada's going to rock this year as a senior. She's already better than Koko! I think although this year they'll be great in Tokyo, I think their shining moment (at least for the women, the men will obviously medal in 2011 and 2012) will be in London will Murakami as senior and I'm sure they have a couple other juniors right now.

@KMoney3187 Yeah, Ana isn't that great powerwise.... A 5.0 vault isn't good when someone is doing a vault worth 1.5 more points... I figured Chelaru could do it considering she's training the full twisting double layout but why risk it at such a small event, I guess...

And what i mean by the floor is super bouncy is that the 2010 Japan Cup was held where worlds are this year and Nabieva almost did an extra flip out of her double arabian. and then when you look at her other double arabians their landed a little bit short. But i do think they use extra springs. lol

@KMoney3187 Yeah. What I'd like to see off bars is a front double tuck with a full twist and a front double pike. I don't know if that's really possible though... I really want to see more twisting elements off bars. The triple twist is rated as an E and I imagine that a small girl could pull off a quad.

@KMoney3187 She probably could. We're seeing too many double doubles. I almost dislike them now. I'd rather see codewhored connected tumbles. A 2 1/2 twist punch front laidout is worth the same and so is a 1 1/2 punch front laidout with a full. I also think a front double tuck with a 1/1 twist or a double front pike. Jessica Gil Ortiz was training the front double pike and some other Swiss (maybe not Swiss but some uncommon country) girl was too.

Even if they're hard like the front layout + Randy or 1/1 front + 2/1 front which are both worth .9 and coincidentally... both used by the queen of codewhore... Miss Nastia Liukin. I think Musty does the jumps out well. I don't think they should get CV for doing those because they're avoiding sticking and get points for it.

I hope she continues AA (I might rather Grishina but right now Grishina's younger and not as good as Aliya) but it might be good that Grishina beats her in qualifications in competitions in 2011 because then Aliya might focus on mostly bars (which isn't likely) and will have a better shot for a bars gold medal. I see it possible.

@KMoney3187 I don't think Musty will be a come and go gymnast... at all. I think she will AA wise but I can see her in 2016 swinging bars. I think she's a total Khorki. You're right. That wouldn't be smart though because Russia is second best on bars. I meant that if Anastasia starts beating Aliya like now in competitions (which won't happen), Aliya might eventually start to only focus on bars. It sounds stupid and it's not likely though. She definately should continue all-around. I've seen great young Russians too. The other night I was watching 12 year olds. Lol. @KMoney3187 Yeah, I know she's still a junior and only 14 but I can't help but feel that she'd only win with execution. I heard she's training an Amanar :O sounds unlikely. She needs more difficulty. This years Euro's is Aliya's title. Silver will be Porgras and bronze will probably be Dementyeva. If Aliya falls and Porgras does use the DTY, Porgras will win.
