this was an ultra-reactionary coup d'etat supported by the romanian and us governments; chirtoaca is a romanian chauvinist whose part is supported by about 10 % of the population.

i saw what happened with my own eyes -- chirtoaca and the other right-wing "liberals" and "democrats" tried to violently overthrow a nominally "communist" government which, just two days before, had solidly won free and fair elections.

chirtoaca and his co-conspirators should go to jail for a long time.
