Akuma's name in Asia is NOT switched with another character's name in USA so there is no "universal" name for him and up-loaders are safe to call him by which ever name. The same cant be said about 3 of the 4 "bosses" which is why they have universal names. The claw extends his range but if removed lowers the attack damage for each claw attack by 10 dmg points. Removing his mask increases the damage he does by 10% but he takes 25% more dmg when he gets hit.

(don't know why it's different, but you get a symmetry with Gouken). So it's strange that this video has one Japanese name and one Western name in the title.

I know tapping away for a move seems a bit counter-intuitive, but it's not that hard to adjust to it.

I play Vega effectively by just keep backflipping and back hand-springing my opponent into frustration. Then I either just jump a fireball to attack or flipkick/ claw dive an opponent who jumps.

seriously? damn I hate how we get all the shitty translations for games. Yea Gouki is his true name if you were to watch SF Alpha Generations it explains the story of him in it. Akuma means demon/devil as well.

Those translations of the names will take time for me to get use to, considering I learned the characters from the ENG version ever sine SF 2 was released here, ever since I was a kid. It will be hard for me to get use to that.

When Capcom brought SF2 to the US, our Vega was known as Balrog, our Bison was known as Vega, and our Balrog was known as M. Bison. Of course, M. Bison is REALLY close to M(ike). Tyson, and Capcom's legal department didn't want to get sued, so they decided to change his name.

Instead of simply changing his name to something new, they decided to flip around a few of the bosses' names, because the marketing department didn't think Vega sounded like a threatening final boss. So there you go.

the reason for the name difference is that the boxer was supposed to be M. Bison (mike BISON, a parody of Mike Tyson). They had problems in the U.S. with that so they changed it to Balrog. That's why there's a name difference.
