What is cache and what are you doing when you clean it???

Cache is the place where the 360 temporary stores data. After a while i can get, well... messy or full.

So when you think your xbox is a bit slower than a while back you could try to clean your cache. It just might help.

Don't do this if you have Ninety Nine Nights! That's the only game (as far as is know) that stores savefiles in the cache.

I clean the cache every 2 weeks. Just to keep my 360 smooth. :p

no, the loading time from disc for, say, road atlanta was about 25 seconds, and from the hard drive about 10. gta and saints row also benefit enormously.

Yes it's safe.

It removes the updates, and cleans the mess that is made by using the 360. (the 360 constantly saves 'stuff' in your cache, after a while it gets messy, which causes your 360 to get slower.

This can be in a game, in the dashboard, or sometimes achievements aren't unlocking properly.

The only game that doesn't like you to clean the cache is Ninety-Nine Nights

The color of that thing only changes when you use a Premium Theme. The ones that cost 250 Microsoft Points.

For regular themes and custom backgrounds it uses the grey color.

Bij het cache cleanen verwijdert ie niks belangrijks. Alleen de updates van je games, maar die worden direct weer gedownload de eerstvolgende keer dat je de game opstart.

Format betekend dat je ALLES verwijdert van je harde schijf. Alle filmpjes, demo's en het belangrijkste: al je savegames
