    exactly

  • i love this song

  • love your voice Anne

  • i find this song just 2days ago.

    so beautiful music and voice!!

    arigato--!

  • This is a good cover, but the original is much better.

  • I heard this on a 30min commerical early in the morning, that was selling Top Billboard Chart Song CDs.

  • @SakuraKiss Time Life's best singer/songwriters... same here

  • @SakuraKiss Lol Me too

  • I'll never forget how it felt laying down in your bed and singing this song with you. "I'm so in love with you honey."

  • I prefer Kenny Loggins version. Since he made it first anyways, but it's aight I guess.

  • "Love a guy who holds the world in a paper cup" sounds like a wine'o lmbo!!

  • From my moms favorite singer to mine!!!...Anne Murray you're one of the best!!!.....

  • @sawasdeekharush reminds me of my mother

  • sigh great song

  • nothing i can promise but only i can say to her i dont want to see her cry

  • What an amazing song...makes me smile(:

  • Dear god, my childhood.

  • I heard this on That '70s Show! :D

  • Nice version...And the TV plug helps to enjoy it...But the purity of the Loggins and Messina original can't be beat

  • the best verson

  • Anne Murray does a wonderful job with this haunting love song.

  • I'm not a big fan of Anne Murray, but there is something so beautiful and true about this song. It helps make me realize what really matters. Love, actually, is the what drives most of us and it's often a currency unspoken of.

  • this is about post-nam freedom, when young people could raise a family & build their own dreams without fear of the warpig (then again canada never had to worry bout the shit the u.s.a. put on their kids at that time)..if you dont want peace,, then fuck off..

  • used to be a singer and my hometown....and other parts ot my country got to know me. I used to be the one that some called me the sunshine, and so many guys were looking at me.... I find (or he found me) the pretty and innocent singer. He was four years younger than me,we fell in love, brought three beautiful children to the world:-)

Then he became a drug addicted....left us...and I`ve spent my other halves of my life, to protect and follow my children.

  • JUST FINISHED RAISING HOPE SO CUTE O_O !!!!BUT VERY WEIRD AND FUNNY AND I LOVE PRINCESS BEYONCE I MEAN HOPE AND LOVE MAW MAW RUNNING AROUND TOP LESS O_o xD VERY AWESOME RAISING HOPE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! U THERE MUST WATCH !!!!!! WHO LOVED RAISING HOPE LIKE THIS XD

  • Heard this on thats 70's show (:

  • @antwonn1 just played right now :)

  • Anne Murray is the best female singer that ever lived and this is one of the best interpretations ever.

  • @NOUNZYKRANZA Can't hold a candle to Karen Carpenter. Sorry

  • @pgciboss ha ha that's funny. Get over it. The Carpenter`s are too corny. Elevator muzzak. Anne Murray is musical perfection in tone, interpretation, and simple sophistication. Karen`s voice was too schmaltzy with no emotion. Pure fromage. Sorry dude.

  • Loggins does it better

  • This is real music. I love this song its amazing! Such a great meaning.

  • Anne and Phoebe Snow are both wonderful artists, and brave women who have overcome huge obstacles! Love them BOTH!

  • thumps up if that 70s show brought you here or comment

  • @MrCool3000ful

The 70's was great! But real life is better. God I wish it was still the 70's.

  • i like the loggins andmessina version better thumbs up if you agree

  • Omg I Loveee this song :)

  • WHAS. thumbs up if you can decrypt and actually understand the signifigance

  • Thumbs up if you came here from masturbating.

  • @bertonglacy

I hope you are female. You filthy beast.

  • @Danyerd chicks don't masturbate, they finger themselves... :o

  • @bertonglacy

Thanks for the sex ed lesson. :D

  • @bertonglacy you are a moron. Women DO......a lot!!

  • This is a classic...all of Anne Murray's songs are...no matter your age, you will fall in love with these songs.

  • 今やカナダ女性歌手花盛り、アン・マレー、貴方が70年代先駆けですヨ!~ケニー・ロギンスの大名曲"ダニーの歌"も紹介してくれた!(感謝)

  • lovely theme!

  • I've got to be the only black chick who knows this song word for word. I am very sentimental about this song. I like Kenny Loggin's version just as much as this one.

    ~~GTL2010~~

  • i heard this song in april of last year... and my boyfriends name is danny. i found out i was pregnant... and i knew it was going to be a boy because of this song lol <3 "i think i'm gonna have a son" i knew it.... he is the best baby in the world.

  • why in the hell would you dislike this song?! it has alot of meaning!

  • is it weird i had to look this up after i first heard it on that 70s show?

  • @klarebear721 Is not weird.. I did the same thing. Its a nice song!

  • @maripposyta agreed!

  • i'm 10 months old and i like this.

  • @jetmemphis83

Don't worry about it now but in 5 years when you start elementary school they will teach you that "I" is always capitilized when used by itself. :)

  • Heard this on Raising Hope. Beautiful Song x

  • I heard this when it first came out. It takes me back to a great era.

  • The best, definitive version of this song. Anne has such warmth, sensibility, and a simple quality that performers today often lack. There will never be another like the legendary Anne Murray.

  • I love any version of this song...but I just heard this AMversion on a night bus to Byron Bay, NSW, Australia...in a big devastating rainstorm...it seems it always appears during times of great change for me! so it is, globally....now!!!

  • Like the kenny loggins version much better...

  • i heard this on raising hope!!

  • heard this on raising hope, great show!

  • 22 People have money and no love

  • This song shouldn't have a dislike button!

  • In the morning when I rise- OH FUCK!

  • Such a great performance. The definitive version, bar none. Now I can just anticipate the haters responding but I don't care. Anne Murray is a legendary vocalist that deserves respect. Has huge hits in pop, country, AC, Holiday, Contemporary Christian, Easy Listening, etc. I miss her music terribly

  • Every time I hear this song, I get a little teary. When I was a baby, mom used to sing this to me and my three other sisters. I never really found out why my mom sang this as a lullaby to her four daughters, because I never really got a chance to ask her. My mom passed away a few months ago, leaving behind four daughters, me being the youngest of fourteen. And having this song played at her funeral and remember the significance it had toward us, it just makes me cry every time I hear it.

  • @girlwiththesmarts I sing it to my son, its just the two of us, and i hope he realizes its just that this song equates how much he is loved by me:) When he was a brand new baby I'd sing it and be crying at the same time at this miracle I held in my arms. That feeling never goes away no matter how big your child gets:)

  • Reminds me of when I was pregnant w/my oldest. I knew he was a boy even b4 the ultrasound! Listened to this song throughout pregnancy. Love it!

  • @Lustmord19 Who are you calling a troll? I have over 200 copies of Anne's albums. Who the heck is Martha Plimpton? A nobody. Go on her site and let us Anne fans enjoy the real version of this song. Good luck with your life.

  • @Lustmord19 who cares. this is the definitive version

  • @NOUNZYKRANZA Actually, Loggins and Messina's is...

  • @trinitymike In your world maybe. Even though loggins wrote in Anne has the definitive version.

  • @NOUNZYKRANZA in YOUR world maybe...and Plimpton DOES do a great version. as does Anne... and Eva Cassidy and others as well; you don't need to denigrate others just b/c you prefer Anne Murray...

  • @trinitymike Look I am not denigrating others. I honestly don't know and don`t care who Ms Plimpton is. This link is for Anne's version & those who appreciate it. Not for trolls who say that other versions are better. Anne made Logins filthy rich with this version & I don't need a speech from a loser like you to tell me I don't have a right to my opinion.

  • @NOUNZYKRANZA :

"Look I am not denigrating others." Funny, I thought calling people losers and trolls for saying they prefer other other versions of this song would qualify.

"This link is for Anne's version & those who appreciate it. " Funny again...it's not your ID on the post header...so, I guess you don't get to decide what the link IS for and what it ISN'T; you're just another poster here, like the rest of us....

    .

  • @trinitymike doesn't really matter its a beautiful song

  • @hotmn4u Of course it is...and Anne's version is great...as are the other versions... I don't know why ONE version has to be the "definitive" one...Fanboys just annoy me with their exclusive world-views....

  • <3

  • This is the song my fiancé and I chose to dance to for our wedding May 21st! :)

  • Morna Anne hit #7 in Billboard, 4-14-73. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Written by Kenny Loggins, for his nephew.

  • wet hot american summer

  • THAT 70S SHOW FOR LIFE!

  • First heard this yesterday at a wedding by one of the best men and i fell in love then.

  • 22 people need to be told they're the "lucky one."

  • I've been love with the same woman for 35 years and her love still brings a tear to my eye

  • I've beenin love with the ame woman for 35r years and her love still brings a tear to my eye

  • Well actually, this song was written by Danny Loggins(Kenny Loggins' brother) to give to his wife after their first son. Kenny Loggins and Messina performed it. It's my parents' song. The song i was named after. :) A gorgeous song that Anne Murray performs beautifully. And I know what episode of That 70's show you're talking about lol

  • im so fucking pissed right now damn why does she have to bee so damn comforting

  • @pingui0987 Your awsome you will live on forever

  • there stupid in that 70s show lol everytime i think of anne murray it reminds me of when on that 70s show when they go to canada and get in trouble the cops are like we are going to torture u , and kelso is all what are u going to make us listen to anne murray records , lol i love this song reminds me of my damien!

  • @zombietts712 Also, season 5/ episode 20 when they are in the circle and there is Anne singing in the background. Best show ever, and nice music by Anne :)

  • Hats off to Raising Hope

  • this used to be my theme song with my ex-boyfriend...love it

  • 22 people don't seem to exactly know Great Music.

  • i guess 22 people do "got" money but arent so in love. so everythings not gonna be alright!

  • i headr this on raising hope :D greaat :D

  • does she say danny in the song if so wt time?

  • @AlylovesDP no, but also john denver doesnt say annie, in "annie's song".

  • @AlylovesDP she doesn't, but the person who wrote this song wrote it for danny (who was either her man or her son, i dont remember) when they were expecting a child and had no money.

  • @beautifuliarxx this song was written by Kenny Loggins originally sung by Loggins Messina,, Anne Murray just happened to make it a hit

  • Comment removed

  • Anne Murray deserves to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame. What a crime to overlook her talent!

  • Used to have the original album. What a voice..

  • I have this 45. It's in horrid condition but hey, at least the song is still there!

Anne Murray has the voice of an angel!

  • 21 people are fuking faggots

  • i love this song so much, i am 21 and expecting my first baby, my boyfriend is the love of my life, and we are going to be getting married eventually, but he and i are strapped for cash majorly,we both work and I also go to school... he has two children that he is a great father to and supports, and its leaving us with little to nothing. hes a musician on the side and he sang this song one day, ever since then i listen to it almost everyday because it meant so much to me that he sang it to me.

  • saw this on raising hope and started humming it when i was visiting my mom, she started crying and asked how i knew the song so i told her about the show. she then explained that before her and my dad got a divorce they would do the same thing to put me to sleep, thhis song has a whole new place in my heart

  • @spazzjerm Wow thats awesome, im sure thats a memory you will cherish always!

  • im a single mum at age of 20 and this song inspired me a lot :)

  • How can 21 people not like this song?

  • i heard this song for the first time on raising hope and cried at how beautiful it was

shortly after that i found out i was pregnant and it made me want to find it to sing to my child

  • My name is Danny and I love this song because not to long ago I found out I was going to be a dad. Im still going to college and need 1 year to finish. But my girlfriend lost the baby...every time I hear this song I think of how our kid would have been and how no matter what I would love him or her to death!!! Great song brings a tear to my eye every time

  • Great song thanx for posting!!

  • @SandMan4O5 Its a tv show created by the same guy that created My Name Is Earl.

  • i heard this on that 70s show...who knew

  • I DIDN'T hear this on Raising Hope.

I was raised during the 90s, and I only listened to the classics radio station.

  • im here because i heard this song on "raising hope" also! the mom sang it to hope and it sounded really sweet... she has a pretty good voice too!

ps: that show is so amazing & hilarious! i hope it wins the peoples choice award it was nominated for!

  • This is a really nice cover. C:

  • @gonexuntilxtomorrow

    Who sang the original?

  • @Treemeadow Kenny Loggins sang the original i think!!

  • @Treemeadow Kenny Loggins

  • this is dedicated to my girl liss:)

  • Love the guy who holds the world in a paper cup - drink it up. Love me my anne murray. Such an awesome happy voice. even on the sad stuff.

  • @weightfeather1 You're right. Anne had a very nice voice and so did Karen Carpenter. Lately, I'm come to realize that Anne sounds a little like Helen Reddy - sometimes.

  • this is great. anyone heard me first and the gimmie gimmies do this one? haha

  • I love Anne's voice, it's so clear and beautiful, gives me chills :)

  • @SlightlySto0opid Don't be so hard on yourself. Surprisingly a lot of really good songs around actually have country origins. Enjoy the music for what it is and the joy that comes with it. Your cat probably thinks so whats all the fussing about Dude? Enjoy!

  • @weightfeather1 Yes you are so right there. Bending the note is the exact phrase thank you. I play guitar and should have known as we bend notes too. Have you noticed just how some good singers like Anne, Dolly, Emmylou, KT etc, just seem to bend the notes effortlessly. Thanks for the heads up. Have a lovely day.

  • wow you talk about a song. this is such a great song.a song with passion and love

  • i'm so in love this song, hunnie. :)

  • Why on earth would 20 folks dislike this 1? Must've hit the wrong button, right, gang? Anne hit #1 AC, #7 pop, and #10 country, in Billboard. God bless!

  • ..."And even though we ain't got money...I'm so in love with ya honeyyy:)"...LOVE that line, LOVE this song in general, LOVE Anne Murray's voice..such a classic

  • You don't find too many artists who can do what Anne does to the bridge of this song."everything will bring a chain of luuoove" What do you call being able to do that with your voice. It's a bit like a quaver. someone enlighten me please. thanks.

  • @johnparkimp3 no clue, but i's a fab device that she uses amazingly well for such an otherwise "empty" song (and that's by no means an insult, the simplicity is part of the whole beauty!)

  • @belazir thanks for the reply. Check out page 2 and weightfeather1 nails my query. It's called note bending. A bit like how a guitarist bends his strings. Have a nice one.

  • so so beautiful!!! ( :

  • Love this song reminds me of my parents. Living in Oak Cliff (Dallas) in the early 70's and doing what they could to make ends meet. It was a house hold of love and peace, they did not have much besides each othere and that was good enough. Lived poor as poor can be. The. They had open mind and hearts to new ideas and changes. My Dad passed away on 10/25/10. My parents were married 38 years. He will be missed. This will be played at his life celebration. Thanks Kissable84 for posting. RIP Dad.

  • @1972Zane Bro, I'm sorry to here that. But, keep in mind he's in heaven looking down on you and wishing you the best. We all gotta go at some point, he was lucky enough to get off the earth and join our heavenly father faster then some of us. I'm sure he was a great man.

  • must you mock me anne murray?
