I went to every race meeting at "the Farm" between 1964 and when it closed in 1973. That was back in the days when the Australian Touring Car Championship meant something.
Creek Corner was our favourite location (at the bottom of Hume Straight).....usually lots of action, particularly in the wet. :)
and may i add with a full support programe of improved touring cars, touring cars, sports sedans, sports cars, under 2 ltr touring cars, same make racing, formala 2 and 3, vees, F5000, clubmans etc. Not the same same we get today with just V8 supercars with support progarme of porsche cups, or second tier V8 supercars. with pace cars that come out evey few laps it seems, to keep the feild close. all the above looking, sounding and performing differantly. the real good old days
real motor racing with real drivers and real (differant) cars.. without stupid pace cars every couple of laps. unlike the slot cars that is V8 supercars of today, that all look and perform the same
@ idak12, I actually am quite fond of the 2 door falcons, have a soft spot for xc cobras but im a chrysler boy, so charger for me. However I can appreciate all cars in me old days, Its a real shame chrysler didnt get in with Bathurst
The track at Warwick Farm is directly across the road from Peter Warren, on Governor Macquarie Drive. Although its only a horse track now, there are remnants of the old track there if you know what you are looking for.
That brings back LOTS of fond memories.

The XA Falcon is probably the best looking muscle car coupe ever, followed by the Aussie Charger, then the HQ Monaro.

I hate to see historic tracks torn apart, the cars we can find and rebuild but the land is gone for ever.

that last scene... 8'-)
XY's and XW's were good looking cars,as were the Toranas. But the XA GT's were just bloody ugly or bland.
And what about those pesky little Alfas!! Every time you look around, there one was.. sneaking up alongside.
