I just bought a Gibson Les Paul with a dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge. Was wondering what tube amp brand would work well with the guitar? hard rock genre mostly.
i got one in satin gold with gold hardware and its a beast but i must say the neck waso dry i had to put oils o n it to soak up now shes sexy! and the nut needed 2 be filed ever so lightly with number2 pencil/graphite whatever?
Well, then don't buy it. Some people have been begging for maple necked les pauls and SGs so gibson made them. No one is forcing people who don't want them to buy them.
But you do kinda have a point, Gibson should probably improve their existing models before they release new ones.
yea that maple fretboard is sick on a LP havent seen many with that

i have played both an imho, i like the raw power better. i like the sound and the playing better.
but easly i like the looks of the original. personally i think the maple fretboard finish kills most of the other finishes put with it.
