no you dont, it doesnt "strip" a floor its a deep top scrub caused by vibration and water, and only removes 3-4 coats of wax, its faulse advertisment. it does speed up stripping a floor, but you still need stripper to break the wax up after using the boost.
Wildthing needs to call for a demonstration. I could run a diskscrubber for 24 hours on a spot and not do what this machine will do in 5 minutes.

It is a good machine... we have one at our hospital, however... it will not strip heavy build up! But it will save lots of labor and chemicals!
