I used a shot gun and it worked, these guys are fucking morons I hate this show. Sure they are book smart, but when it comes to logic, no one has it. They tried to bust a myth saying you couldnt cut down a tree with a gun. So they go get a 12ft long log and try to cut right through it. Maybe if one of em had every laid hands on a axe they would know you need the tree to be standing, cut half way through an the weight does the rest. I cut down a 8 inch tree with a double barrel in 2 shots.

I wonder how many of the rounds actually hit the tree? I cut down a Georgia pine tree with three shots from my .338 Win Mag. I was shooting 250 grain Nosler Partitions. The tree was probably about 25 to 30 inches in diameter. I placed my shots with the intent of cutting it down. I really don't see how this was a myth worthy of this show to start with.
