I think the senerios told in this video have one fatal flaw. They take the worse human traits and make those the only reason to accept this technology. Some transhumanist, like myself, will only accept the technology if it can give people the freedom they did not have before, that or a longer life. The technology might lead to such results expressed in this video, but it is also ignorant to make the only outcomes negative or destructive to the 'humanity' as it is today.
Sir I think you may find it impossible to remove just the negative parts without suffering some sort of consequences. For instance "infinite pleasure" would have to be the state where no negative emotion or feeling exists, or even the concept of "bad" or "negative". Thus abolishing pleasure as well, because what is pleasure if pain does not exist ? So a man-built heaven of pleasure would not be possible. But science can surely offer anything better than what we have today. The future sounds good
It's more likely to be just a single consciousness, even if people merge, I'm sure the identity will be lost in the machinery. What seems more likely is a glitch in the nano software causing it to turn the whole planet into a bunch of nano bots, game over. =D

I didn't claim to know what qualifies a sport, I just refuted what you claimed, which was what disqualifies a sport. How would you define 'sport'?

I think the senerios told in this video have one fatal flaw. They take the worse human traits and make those the only reason to accept this technology. Some transhumanist, like myself, will only accept the technology if it can give people the freedom they did not have before, that or a longer life. The technology might lead to such results expressed in this video, but it is also ignorant to make the only outcomes negative or destructive to the 'humanity' as it is today.

Sir I think you may find it impossible to remove just the negative parts without suffering some sort of consequences. For instance "infinite pleasure" would have to be the state where no negative emotion or feeling exists, or even the concept of "bad" or "negative". Thus abolishing pleasure as well, because what is pleasure if pain does not exist ? So a man-built heaven of pleasure would not be possible. But science can surely offer anything better than what we have today. The future sounds good

It's more likely to be just a single consciousness, even if people merge, I'm sure the identity will be lost in the machinery. What seems more likely is a glitch in the nano software causing it to turn the whole planet into a bunch of nano bots, game over. =D
I don't think advanced life can get much more advanced without becoming like you say, but I also think when it loses it's fear of death and other things, it probably reaches a point where it doesn't do maintenance on itself and poof! =)
