My brother killed himself, too and "It gets harder every day for me " ! Trying to figure it out but I can't ! He reminded me of Brad and he loved his music !
@capricorn4003 I was there. Trust me, it was packed. You're looking at behind the stage and if I remember correctly, those seats were discounted because, let's face it, you couldn't really see anything and all speakers were facing front. Nowadays, they hardly even sell those seats.
Most people look at rock band as in - I am not popular, I don't get chicks you do, but I have a real job, a career. Most people look at Ivy League guys as in - I am not as smart, I don't have the job you do and I don't make the money you do, but I have a social life. I get chicks. With Tom Scholz??? Boston front man? MIT Grad School? Hell, he wrote this for all of us - He is "A man I'll never be" ... lol
I so wish I had went to high school in the 70's....Anyone here who had the privledge of that, Im so jealous and envious. Only advantage is, im younger, but, who cares!! Ill get older one day! That must of been an awesome fucking time, to be a freshman or senior in the 70's man. All this awesome music. Were you aware of what you were in the midst of music wise, or, was it sort of taken advantage of? What I mean is now, with the shitty music,U can compare it & realize how wonderfull it was.
I like DLR, he was a great fit for Van Halen, but anyone who tries to compare him and Brad is making a huge mistake. I can't see them mentioned in the same vein in any way...one performs, one sings, it's just that simple. No disrespect at all to DLR is meant, but notice how he was replaced by Sammy and no one decent replaced Brad.....
Wow. I have goose bumps typing this. Frickin Brad is incredible. Right away I think of the hybrid singers who have passed. Brad ranks right there with Freddie. This is great vintage material.
@tesoromountain Oh, MUCH better than Freddie! He's the best! David Lee Roth is close I think. Ronnie James Dio had one heck of a voice too but in another way. This guy sings!
@jamzusa david lee roth is close to brad delp i don't think so and dave would be the 1st to tell you so..Dave is a showman great, but as a vocalist he barely cut it he sucked live use to leave out alot of words hes better at that today mind you but brad was "The Voice"
@billyfan8305 Steve Perry(Journey) and Dennis DeYoungs(Styx) voices are unbelievable as well. Same with Joseph Williams (Toto). There are actually alot who can actually blow and had pipes! Brad Delps vocal range and abilty is certainly is the catagory of "unfuckingbelievable" though...my humble opinion of course :)...take care :)
@LabelBob Well if thats the case, let me ask youtube for a larger wall to write on cause if we're naming awesome singers, Im gonna need ALOT more charactors (letters) to be able to write them all...oh...and about a week.
@LabelBob I left out a plethora of them. I only named a few off the top of my head with some crazy crazy vocal range and note ability. And yes, Mercury is one of them. Again, I can go on and on and on about that....its too many to name here.
@BrooklynOmerta ..actually your correct.. you actually told the best ones . just missing a few like Peter Cetera ,Eric martin (mr big) and perhaps Jani lane -RIP ( warrant)
@Vann7 Oh the list truly just goes on and on. Other day me and a comrade (after we smoked something) sat there and named so many vocalists that before we knew it, 3 hours had passed & we just got started! I didnt even name any females here such as Stevie Nicks oh & Christy McVey as well. Also, there are voices that people dont care for such as Forgerty. Well me personally, I LOVE his voice & style but it isnt in the same "range" of singing almost operatic like Brad Delps or Steve Perry. So many!

Best music/lyrics/hits of the 20th century came from late 70's and early 80's. Thank god I lived to see it and it was part of my generation. !
