  • a mi me gusta levantar pesas muchos

  • can you give me the fully name of the song and band, cant find them but just searching aria!

  • sounds like the russian version of rush

  • Every Russian I've ever met has some kind of toughness about them. It's like they're just genetically badass.

  • great lift! great video!

  • This was fun to watch and very impressive. Interesting to see him bench pressing. Is it part of his training and how much was on the bar? I used to compete in bench and am curious what a champion of this caliber can bench even though it's not his main lift.

  • @edge9090 i think thats 160kg in this video.. hes doing easy triple.. i would not be suprised if he can do 200kg bench.. but, i dont know :) i think its part of training program in some period of training season but dont really know how many times in week and how many reps or something like that.. it would be interesting to know..

  • @MaximFIN88 Thanks. Is strict overhead pressing something these guys do as well?

  • @edge9090 yes and press behind neck with snatch grip is also one exercise i know many top lifters do.. its very usefull exercise for snatch..

  • @edge9090 He can strict press 170kg.

  • @MaximFIN88 Klokov did 170kg strict press standing, I'm sure he could bench 200kg fairly easy.

  • @edge9090 apparently the russians train their lifters in a more balanced way...they don't just train the oly lifts but bench, deadlift, row etc

  • @HIGGSER94 A 400lb bench would help in the jerk, you would think. Do they share their methods with other countries? My background is Powerlifting. I coach a high school team in Canada with two of our boys going to the IPF World Juniors in 2011. One has a 1360lb raw total.

  • @edge9090 thats cool man...yeah i read a louie simmons article on how the bulgarians stuck to the classic lifts and no supporting excerises for training and the russians did the opposite, i think the article is on the westside barbell site

  • @HIGGSER94 I'll check out the site. Louie Simmons knows what he's talking about. We have our High School Powerlifting Finals in 10 days in PEI, Canada.

  • @edge9090 yeah that sounds cool, im a rugby player myself but i would love to get involved in powerlifting...best of luck to your lifters

  • @HIGGSER94 All our big lifters play rugby for our high school team. Powerlifting season ends, rugby season starts.

  • @HIGGSER94 Powerlifting will most definitely make you a bigger, stronger and more powerful Rugby player. You'll be amazed how fast you progress if you stick to a program for a year. I had a kid total 775lbs in his first meet and two years later he was at 1275lbs and a Canadian Junior Champion going to Worlds with a 575 deadlift.

  • @edge9090 jesus thats a crazy jump, one of my programs followed a 1-3 rep protocol and i made massive gains in my bench....not sure what the powerlifting scene is like here in ireland mind you haha id love to train in a powerlifting gym

  • @HIGGSER94 All you need is a squat rack, thick rubber matts to protect your floor, a sturdy bench and a good Olympic weight set with 500+ pounds of plates. Some commercial gyms frown on heavy lifting, but these are the people that stay members for the long haul. Find a good local gym that's heavy lifting friendly. I'd love to visit Ireland. Saw glimpses in the Movie "It Might Get Loud" with the Edge from U2. U2 played the last 360 Tour show in Moncton, NB, 1 hour from PEI with 75,000 fans.

  • @edge9090 i was lifting in a place called East Coast Barbell for a year but then it closed down, really good warehouse gym...mostly for olympic lifters but still 10x better than commercial gyms. I hope to open my own warehouse style gym when i leave school....hahaha i watched that film recently....mainly we have strength coaches looking after us because i play rugby the leinster junior team, look up Leinster rugby to see what we're about. So I can't sway off my program...damn

  • красавчик!!!!

  • Most bad ass tribute on Youtube

  • this shit is inspiring

  • Ебать там нагрузка на позвоночник. Интересно а часто его ломают в таком виде спорта?

  • 2:12 wow , 205kg block snatch !

  • fuckin beast

  • @MaximFIN88 65 000!!! 253 likes!

  • I have know idea what the guy is saying in the song, but I like it very much, very motivational video...........10/10 for this one!!!

  • He's repping 160kg on the brench press as if its half the weight!!

    Unbelievable physique...............lucky bastard!!

  • @zulu2829 do you think this guy is on steroids?

  • @BDFPA before he fail in test, he is clean,,, thats why we have WADA and all doping controll, to show which athletes are not doing this like its in rules.. me myself dont understand anything about steroids or others drugs.. so i cant say anything about it,,, but i know that Klokov have train full time many many years with great coaches, he is talented lifter, good competitor, amazing technique and spirit of champion ;) it was an honour to watch this man lifting in paris! :)

  • @BDFPA

I think its his Russian genes and lots of hard work which got him where he is today.

  • @BDFPA He's an Olympic lifter so he's definitely a candidate for testing. I saw WADA in the comment before. I think it's the World Anti Doping Association but I'm not sure. The IOC has banned many athletes for positive tests so it's going in the right direction.

Olympic lifters, especially the lighter classes, are in amazing shape. Walking machines.

  • epic song

  • @jlmknight and epic athlete, did u notice how good his physique is in comparison to other weightlifters? btw i love how this guy could lift up and squeeze out a crossfitter with only his thumb and pointing finger:)

  • My favourite OLY lifter, keep up the good work Maxim!

  • great video. thanx for uploading.

  • we want evgeny too :)

  • @L4miSz now there is video of Evgeny Chigishev in my channel ;) i hope you like it!

  • over 10 000 times watched this video, in month! 51 likes and 0 dislikes :) thank you people for watching my channel :)

  • @MaximFIN88 and 4 days lates over 14 000 and 83 likes.. i am so happy that people like this video!:)

  • What's his bodyweight? This guy's a monster.

  • this guy makes NFL players look like girls considering his weight.

  • i don't believe!!! at least in the bench press i lift more than klokov :-)

  • @anthraxale I dont think you do.

  • @Hopeswilldie in this video klokov did 160 kg x 3...now i bench 180 kg, maybe he bench more but seeing this video i can say i bench more than him, obviosly then i snatch 120 and he snatch 202.5, and that is embarassing for me, eheheh!

  • @anthraxale He can push press 225kg with little leg drive. He can probably bench near 200kg.

  • @EndlersaurusRex yeah, he is a beast in every exercise! thanks for the info bro

  • @anthraxale he can bench 160 way more then 3x. The vid just stopped after 3 reps. He can strict press with 170kg. So he will for sure bench more then 180, most likely 190-195. And he's probably lighter then you

  • @Mrsirflexalot Whatever his bench is, could be much more, if he cared to be as serious about it as the lifts he competes in. Most men can bench well past their standing push press. He's done at least 496 PP I figure he could do well over 500 BP if it mattered to him.

  • @skirts365 probably, maybe he did in training. Who knows? We will never know the off-season maxes of these type of athletes. I wonder how much they actually care about benching, for they i mean olympic lifters

  • He really brings spark to the platform. To him, standing second on that podium, he might as well of been last. I hope he wins gold for 2012.

  • what is this music?

  • @kpoff5128 Ария - встань, страх преодолей

  • That dude is a serious beast. That's one scary cat!

  • could you by any chance make a evgeny chigishev video?

  • @ollymeadows i will think about it :) its totally possible!

  • It's men like Dmitry that make this sport the greatest.

  • My favorite oly weightlifter.....he is so intense

  • This shit gets me pumped! Good video!
