  • if japs would have invaded siberia and open second front in russia then germany and japan would have won war

  • 6:38, He is portrayed in Tora Tora Tora

  • 3:38 The guy has a pentagram on his cap!

  • @0NoName9

    it is just a symbol...

The whole thing about the devil is really stupid

  • @spudnick3490 I know, I was just saying. I don't even believe in it.

  • @0NoName9

hey man its cool...Thanks for pointing it out anyway..cause I never would of noticed :P

  • Why did the Nazi's ally with Japan? Didn't they want to get rid of all non white humans on earth? Did they want to use them to take over Asia and take em out later?

  • @LOLMAN22 In part the alliance depended upon opposition to Russia. In part the alliance stemmed from acts by Japan's ambassador in Berlin, who kept things going even when they were against Japanese interests. In part the alliance stemmed from Japanese designs on Australia, a British colony. The alliance remains a mystery to me, those factors notwithstanding.

  • @LOLMAN22 The Barbarossa episode of this series mentions it. Hitler hoped that Japan would go to war with Germany against the Soviet Union. If that happened, the Soviet Union would have been attacked from opposite ends. Stalin wouldn't have been able to transfer any Siberian divisions to his Western front.

  • @th3gtr ahhh that make perfect sense.

  • By the way, for anyone interested in learning more about Pearl Harbor and the astounding plans designed and enacted by men such as Yoshikawa, Fuchida and Genda, it is highly recommended to read the deeply researched and lifelong enterprise of Gordon Prange, -At Dawn We Slept-

Similar to this great series, Prange had first-hand access to the developers of these strategems, and though a hefty 850 pages, provides invaluable insight into the devastating Pearl attack.

  • Wow, Marquis Kido, Minoru Genda, and Mitsuo Fuchida in one documentary. Outstanding to have these special voices from history.

  • The other 10% are just filler.

  • 90% of these comments is inane crap.

  • Thank you Russia for saving the world.

  • @scorkungen Who exactly did Russia save? The Russians invaded poland, the balitic states and finland all before GERMANY EVEN INVADED. stalin and hitler were both extremely evil last time i checked and the soviets simply conquered eastern europe. they didn't save anybody.

  • @FlamingCannibal

They saved the Allie's ass...The normandy never would of happend if operation Barbarossa was sucessful...The allies in France faced 10% of the German army...The other 90% were fighting the Soviets...They saved the world...AND if they hadn't of take the Baltic states..The Germans would of taken them and then slaughtered the Jews there...

  • WW2 is caused by US.........Surprised???If great depression would not have happened people of germany and japan would not have turned towards war.Great Depression is the fall out of wall street crash...and obviously you know controls wall street!!!!!! Pls answer

  • jews? :)))

  • Thank you, England, Scotland, Wales, N.Ireland, Canada, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and the rest of the Empire, for saving the World.

  • Grow up. This is HISTORY. It happened, it was terrible (all war is), but arguing or making silly remarks about it isnt the point of this great documentary series. The point is to learn from mistakes, learn from our mistakes and grow.

  • Youve just answered youre own question there my friend and i think youre being slightly over-critical of the human race. How can one not learn from something if you understood what happened and why it happened? That is what learning is in its purest form. If we didnt learn then the world wouldnt have evolved at all!

  • But I have to agree, humanity never learns from their mistakes. Look at this "the Wave" experiment where pupils easily committed themselve to fascist-like discipline. Or the recent wars around the world. Wars for oil fields or gas pipelines. Is that different from the conquest of living space?

It is the way of nature, see, if humans hadn't been so aggressive, they likely wouldn't be in the position they are today. Cruelty is a huge advantage in natural selection, wouldn't you agree?

  • @djlagomorph yeah i agree,look at the other nations too,specially the world's no.1 in crimes and corruption...

the world seems not to learn,as long as corruption prevails...

  • @risingone

Learning from history is one thing. Doing something about what you have learned is another.

  • @risingone Here Here! Finally, someone who actually understands the purpose of this series, to inform and to learn from!

  • @risingone Most certainly true. It is the retention over generations of these lessons which becomes challenging, but far easier now than ever in our short human history.

Unfortunately few learn these lessons, or are even interested in them, as is demonstrated by the low number of viewings and fervent nationalistic comments. And thus, we are most likely to see many more wars and misunderstandings.

But we are slowly and painfully learning.
