Symbian Belle on the Nokia E6 - First impressions

Hi. Do you know if Garmin XT works on E6?

LOL. "amazing" . "fantastic". The icons and widgets are constantly redrawing. The music widget took three taps to respond. From then on it didn't respond at all. You call that fantastic? I took AGES to update the music library. Fantastic indeed.

As for the 'fantastic' interface, it is a VERY POOR, UGLY copy of the Android interface. And for the E6's price, far superior hardware is available.

E6 itself is a lovely device, I came here to see how Belle looked on it. Sad to say, no dice.

@Talhamid Pardon, Some interface of Android (Best example is Notification Taskbar) is from Nokia but we didn't notice that because of very limited compatibility of their phones

such as some of their phones are 400mhz-600+mhz CPU that's Belle requires at least 700mhz to 1ghz or better

@meetsuxx NFC is a hardware thing, the C7 had NfC but Symbian^3 didn't support it, upgrade to Anna and BOOM NfC, the E6 doesn't have Nfc

@starworld1210 you don't have enough space on the drive you unpacked the firmware file. you'll need at least 6GB free. happened to me too. just successfully finished flashing my e6. :happy: :D

@KreuzbergPlayaz from what i can tell, this is supposed to be some official preview of the new OS released to (beta?) testers. So yes, updating to the final version in January should run smooth (via NSU?).

i had a problem with the .net framework, uninstalled it, re-installed it but got the same error so i didn't bother with it and proceeded with the flashing procedure. worked like a charm.
