I'm almost buying a new ASUS laptop that comes with the GTX 560 and the i7. Can I play all the games in the Ultra settings and still get a good frame rate? Like the 590?

@TheMrHDVideos it wont be as good as the 590 because a 590 is 2 580's in a single gpu.. giving u blazing fast performance above 60 frames and never dropping below.. but the laptop your getting is still pretty powerful.. so u can run all games at ultra but dont expect anything above 70 or 80 frames while playing games like crysis 2, bf3 etc. Anyways since youre asking for a good frame rate, then yes the laptop youre almost getting is good enough. But nowhere near the 590.

@TheMrHDVideos However instead of wasting all your money on a laptop that's not that future proof, i recommend building your own gaming PC, which is cheaper and twice as fast as the laptop you're getting. @Xheasor As long as you put the Detail to extreme then you get a good 30-40fps cuz if you put the detail on ultra it will turn on tessellation and AMD suck at tessellation this year while Nvidia suck less.

and a little while ago my brother bought an EVGA 560 superclocked, but it didnt work well. the gameplay was all choppy and stuff so we returned it.

if i were to buy 8gb ddr3 1600mhz ram and a 560ti, would it work alright or would it bottleneck?

Interesting, looks good DX11 features are a nice touch, glad that they came out for Crysis 2, i just recently bought a MSI twin frozr/II 560 ti (oc one 880mhz) to replace my tri-fire set up (3870x2 with 3870) bad ATI drivers mostly CCC error, and fan in the 3870x2 is loose and hitting the plastic, got my 560 ti under 190$

@charmen110 Nooo. Crysis 2(or any game i can think of) will not benefit from 6 cores. Stick with your quad core for now. Wait until next year to upgrade your CPU, or go with a 2500k(2600k is a great deal if you live near a Micro Center). Make sure you OC your CPU and GPU to get the most out of your investment. If you're even minimally competent, overclocking is a really simple process. Google is your friend.
