ok i know, this is a bit late, but try to make walls, cause strelizes need very long to break them. while he does it, make rodeleros against kav(and in warchiefs/asian dynasties also vs inf) or husars against strels. and keep economy up. just wall him out, until your economy is to good and you can over run him

Marius you seem to be the noob if you think you can win any battle by spamming cuirassiers. I've beat many french players who think they will just spam them at me... I play Portuguese and Imperial Jinetes kick their ass and are a lot cheaper.

to make the limit go OVER 200...well..you need the Royal Decree to Claim the New World card, and shipments that send troops.

In my opinion, Im am just saying the russians are the best. Plus I dont run out of resources very easily... not until like 30 minutes AFTER the treaty ends. and ussually by then so has the enemy. Either way, it all depends on the tactics, and strategies you deploy against the enemy, not them men. (but I have been staved off by Germans before, but now i have counter measures for them)

Really I believe that the spanish has the best army that can OWN cavalry easily, and also can do much damage to buildings. If the user uses the pikemen right, but everything else is kinda sucky and the lancer seems to be there just to help cover the infantry weakness in range.

Their infantry is best at melee and speed but sucks if outranged. So they still serve as good ally if your favorite units are ranged ones. Am I wrong???

Spain has the most powerful military in the whole game. You basically have counter against ANY type of units with more powerful units. Rodeleros are great all around shock units who deal serious damage against any type of units with their good attack and extreme speed. FU lancers butcher ANY type of foot soldiers from pikemen to fusiliers, and royal upgraded pikemen (royal tercios) destroy buildings and cavarly in a matter of seconds and are better in hand to hand than halbs.

Rods lose to everything that isnt a cav unit

Lancers lose to musketeers

Tercios cost wood and therefore suck late game, early game are just a normal pikeman, and are NOT better in hand to hand combat vs a halb. Guard halb > Imperial Tercio

The only thing that gives spain good military is unction, and not for the reasons stated above.

Hmm I jope you understand that i counted imperial Tercios to be better than halbs, since Spanish gets those 10 missionaries. Missionaries are MUST for treaty spanish and should be used as much as possible. You also have 2 factories and some vills cutting wood, so you have plenty of that resource to spend on tercios. They also are spammable and take down walls better than halbs could ever do.

Rodeleros maybe arent that good, but their incredible speed and fast ROF makes them ideal to take down artillery and low hp LI.

FU lancers with splash attack update take down any other musket type except Imperial Redcoats. Spanish is all around strong civ that has basic tools to take down any combo civ you can find. But you must remember NOT to spam your units and trust on unction. Spanish eco cant handle that for long. They arent French that can spam OP cav all day long at your face ; )

#2 Lancers get multiplier against infantry. I have seen my FU lancers taking down halberiers when packed with and unction. (and even without)

#3 Spain is great civ in treaty but they need teammate. In 1v1 they tend to lose against other more specialized civs.

#4 who was talking about spam spam? I just stated that TEAM archaic infantry makes pikes, xbows, and longbows train alot faster. Imagine if your teammate is British. Instant OP Longbows at your service, sir.

Lancers do get multiplier card in expansion packs. (It gives them splash attack, like Gendarmes have, but only against infantry.) FU Lancers are very good against infantry after that card.

Spain is great treaty team civ. They have nice variety of units that are great when used right. That Brittain was just an example, but for example when in 3v3 with British and say, French, Spain is a great teammate. And why are you arguing with me about a game?

I just played a russian vs porteguese game, i was port, and everytime he built a fort i instantly trained petards to blow it up, and theres a card from the home city to make ur dragoons 20 range, 8 more than a musket :)

Bah, with a spearhead of imp ops and one of the upgrades from the advanced foundry, then the ops can eat thru a 10 layerd wall, upgraded) in almost 20 sec. I know this from experience. Then just have 1+ musketeer to build a fort, then keep spamin the infantry right behind the ops right when they die. as soon as the ops get in then its game over...

If your german you can hold them off fine, best late game economy, the german dopps will make short work of the opps, if not war wagons, then uhlans are great for run and gun against artillery, even if the russians have a fort and spam soldiers, after 10 minutes you'll run out of resources, all my allies eventually do

what is in spanish man? hey i found another mistake... when you use treaty of tordesillas (tordesilhas in portuguese), and you use the card of 22 besteiros, after they come, whren you select them it appears "bestiero", WRONG it's besteiro... lol small mistakes that make all the difference to the people that speak that language ;)
