I am a huge fan of Mr. Show, and I'm also a former TV News reporter. I can attest that this parody is right on the money. Most news programs keep the same anchors for YEARS because demographics show that ratings are high when people are familiar with the anchors. Mr. Show is so genius. This sketch so like "60 Minutes." Andy Rooney, Mike Wallace, and Don Hewitt are all like 86. WTF?!

@deathtoviacom I hardly watch any television these days , and this is one of the reasons why , as much as there are some news anchors here at home that I liked , most of these people have been anchoring the local news for about 20 years , leaving no room for any newcomers or veteran reporters to replace them . There has been exceptions , but mainly in the national news front .
