I agree that Croatia's under the elite teams in the world but Englans is to, England try to copare themselves to Italy, Germany, Argentina...but in fact you're much closer to Croatia in terms of success that you are to the big boys, one WC title and 2 semis (one WC and one EC) is what England did best, Croatia finished 3rd as an independent nation and while it was a part of Yugoslavia, they played 2 euro finals and 2 more world cup semis...big teams have much more succes than croatia and england

Maybe, maybe not. Argentina and Italy have only won one more world cup than us in the modern era, and it is generally thought that we have not shown our true ability and under ahcived. Were's Croatia are considered to punch above their weight.

We have always had some of the best players and teams, but never converted that on the national game. But I take your point, we are closer to the teams like Holland, Spain and France, just under the serial winners. But then again so were Barca in 94'!
