I got a video of the bats up in Round Rock (about 15 miles north of the congress st bridge. Check it out on my channel. The round rock colony is now larger than the Congress st colony, its incredible to watch them coming out. Better view and just incredible contrast against the sky.
I guess all those bats were heading to 6th street for the drink specials! lol I've made many trips to austin for visits and I didn't even know about this. looks like I will have to make another special trip to see this. do people gather on the bridge everyday during the summer to watch this?
I went Monday and Tuesday night, and this didn't happen. They all just kind of sneaked out. It was sort of disappointing, but it had been raining so I guess they get confused by that?
Bats are awesome! NO matter where you live; here in Canada, they're our best defense against West Nile. Never hurt a bat, celebrate them like you folks in Austin, TX., did - I'm proud of you all!!!

Thank you, Canada647. I love my town Austin, but I have always appreciated and loved Canada when I vacationed there.
