  • Appropriate contemporary paintings- for instance, i see Constable was working on my favourite painting of his here, The Leaping Horse (+ sketches), in 1824, round when Schubert completed + published this song cycle, from what i've just gathered.

  • Wow - amazing! That seems right:) I just chose them 'cause I love Constable ... and, too, I guess it seemed contemporaneous. Thanks for commenting!

  • I searched Schubert Constable and this came up, so looks like yours may be the only one with this combination.

  • Thanks, John!! Good to be unique:| -b

  • Beautiful performance ( well of course, who am I to comment on DFD), beautiful video too. And of course the idea with the link is very very good. I'll most certainly follow your advice!

    Ta! Suzanne

  • So charming and adorable video!!!. Cheers!!!, ~Sergio.

  • Thanks, Sergio!! Actually, it's a rather sad song - poor Miller Lad:( In the Song Cycle, this song immediately follows Der Jäger, who is stealing his girlfriend!!! Thanks for commenting:)) -b
