i saw this show in Chicago a few nights ago, and I have to say, I didn't relate to it too well at the time....I'm at that age (29) where I'm too far away from those teenage years and not yet a parent....it all seemed a little emo to me. But in watching these interviews, I can see how this show is a great vehicle for teens and their parents to open up the lines of communication about sexuality. I have a lot of respect for these actors....
@olelzac hmm emo..i've never heard it described like that at all...interesting. i dont really see it like that, but i am younger so perhaps that makes a difference.
my friend actually went with her mom; she was so happy when the show cut to intermission... and then, as you know, after intermission they get right back into the awkward moments. Hahaha
There were these middle-aged people sitting a few rows behind my Mom and I last night who wouldn't stop LAUGHING during the little act-one recap during 'The Guilty Ones'. It was so obnoxious. So, so so obnoxious.
Oh no, I LOVED it! But everyone around us sucked. There was this mother who brought her two daughters and her son, and they looked 12, 10, and 8. The 8yrold text-messaged the whole time and wouldn't shut up.

That is really rude, I hate people like that. Did you enjoy it at least? Blake would be in my dream cast for sure, so proud of him.

8? That's too young in my opinion...

Um, yeah! Maybe it's a good thing she didn't really pay attention too much...

My aunt sent my two cousins 12 and 13 not knowing the context of the play and was upset afterwards... but 8? I agree, there's the silver lining

Ha, my Mom's friends went to TKTS in NYC, mom, dad, son, daughter...they just innocently bought rush tix. It was quite an awakening for them. ;)
