I liked how The O.C. turned out. It started with Ryan as a kid who didn't know what he wanted in life and just basically a wanderer, and it was right that they ended it with him finally coming to a self actualization of himself and his life. It started with a kid from chino coming into the lives of newport's rich and famous and it ended with him being something and it shows what happened to the lives he affected and the ones affected him in return.

Marissa got on my nerves a lot but it still really sucked what happened to her. As the show progressed it went from being a show based around Ryan to being a show based around Ryan and Marissa's love which everyone liked. Then killing her just ended that, making the show have to switch back to being based on Ryan. Hence the final scene. Stupid Mischa Barton, you really couldn't do one more season?

they should have kept her for season 4 or they should have just ended it on season3 , with her not dying.

Killing Marissa off was the worst decision in TV history. I miss this show i think keeping marissa on could have squeezed at the very least another good quality season. I don't even count season 4 (some good seth and summer moments though)
