Nice video. In my opinion. iWork is a lot more intuitive then Office and is definitely more user friendly. But if you have to exchange a lot of documents with Windows/MS Office users, I'd definitely go Office. Compatibility is much better in Office. I think Office 2011 is a huge improvement over Office 2008.
From a mathematical perspective (undergrad in physics) I've found Office (Namely word and excel) to be far more compatible and intuitive with mathematical notation and generating complex graphs. iWork quickly falls short due to the limited capabilities it provides.
@cmadison93 Indeed, I can agree with you there. For some professional uses, Office is indeed more suitable than iWork. I see it this way. iWork is better for home use, Office more for some professional uses. Certainly with Excel and Pages, you see the difference. So for me iWork is more suitable for some users, and Office for others. In the same way, you can't really compare iPhoto with Adobe Photoshop (Elements). iPhoto is fine for me, because I don't do advanced photo editing.
@cmadison93 Thank you. Undergrad in physics here aswell and have been looking for a good office pack, even though I mostly use LaTeX. I just wanted to know whether Office or iWork would be better for me but i'll go with Microsoft Office then.
Lmao did u know I did not even know there was an iWork?? I always thought there's no other program other then Microsoft Haha I totally feel like I'm literally living under a rock now haha this is embarrassing, is it because I'm really not into technology or what....? 0_0

Why the ad halfway though your video? If I wanted to watch ads I could watch commercial television not youtube.

I work with Microsoft Office and iWork. I prefer Keynote more than Power Point because Keynote has better transitions and I like it better.

I love Pages but not having such limited save option just makes it unusable. TextEdit can save in txt and rtf but not Pages?
