I saw them for the first time the night before this in Bath in front of a few hundred at a packed, sweaty secret fanclub show, they played all the WTSMG songs for the first time ever, and it was Alan White's first gig. They were fucking amazing and way better than they were here at Glasto. Incredible gig.

well liams always said that his favourite two singers are john lennon and john lydon, he sees himself as a mixture of both. If you listen to gleneagles 94 you'll hear liam wanting to be more like lennon, his voice was more natural, he also sang all the high notes in the songs like 'up in the sky'. He just had a fantastic voice then, but as times goes on he trys to be more like lydon and starts exaggerating words like SHINNNNEEEEEEE for example. Check out columbia gleneagles

liam by his own admission "shouts in tune". Im a massive fan, but i was devastated when i heard how bad he was live on their final tour 08-09.

Its years and years of wrenching the sound out from the back of his throat..that rips the sod out of the larynx and hes lucky he hasnt totally lost his voice, but his range now is really limited, cause his throat is ravaged badly.

Liams voice may sound class, a better than it does nowadays, but the rest of the band sound nowhere near as good as the band do now. Liams voice may have lost some of its edge, but therest of the band sound far supier now, not just relting on good lyrics and a good singer!!
