I saw Wexford in their Great wins and alas their great losses. In the All Ireland in 1954, they lost to Cork and The Great Christy Ring and People applauded Wexford's great sportsmanship, However they were coming and won in 1956 and 1957, The Rackards, Art Foley, Nick O'Donnell, Ned Wheeler. The song was a no 1 hit in Ireland in 1996 . Written by Paul Bell and Brendan Wade in their band called " the wild swans". Brendan was lead singer with Cry before dawn. Brendan and Paul were unavailable to do the late late show , so Sean Flood was recommended to do it and did a great job.
