Thank you soooo much. Very informative. So I have been natural since '98. Had locs in '01, but cut them after one year. Now into my 5th month of my 2nd loc journey. Loving it, however, my greatest Concern is the FRIZZINESS (curly and wavy hair). So will the water and essential oils spray help with that???? By the way, beautiful locs girlfriend.
luv ur locs....I saw your loc journey and I see that your locs were thin in the beginning...but now they're nice and thick...did you sew some together or is that the process..they start out skinny and thicken up as they mature?
@Jewelzz2 yea they thickened up by themselves. at first i thought they were too thin but i was told that they would thicken up eventually and they definitely did!
The reason why i did my dreads is similar to the reason why you did yours the difference to with mine was that I used chemical (perm ) to make it a bit easier for myself which worked for a while then i just decided to grow mines out and dread it...... Like you i am also anxious for mines to grow out LoL ... :-)
Girl its like hearing from my twin. My natural hair never grew that long for some reason either, Im not sure what the problem was because I always wanted long hair to. It was pretty long when I had a relaxer and longer before then. But for some reason it just felt like my natural hair never grew, it would be in a short afro and I couldnt even get it in a ponytail. It made me feel less girly sometimes I admit and other times it would look real chic. But you have the same goal length that I want 2
I can so relate to everything you just mentioned... Thats one of my reasons for locking my hair along with being fed up with the chemicals.
