She told me that he'd only use it to buy drink or drugs and he was a dangerous man that I should have crossed the street to avoid. I visited new york city a few years back. I saw homless man asking for supplies and money. I spent all my 20 dollars on him. It didn't sound like a lot to me, but he was so happy. It brought me to tears. I will never forget that day.
my aunt was buying food from mcdonalds and got two happy meals across the street she saw a homeless guy and his dog sittin there so she gave him the extra one and as she was leaving she was watching him and he shared the meal with the dog and she started crying it made her feel good to help him:-)

This song makes me think of all the ppl in Africa starving, and even the people on our streets , never too young to help the poor , but wish people would do more too help, and not jsut think ' Ohh its not mee so why should i ? ' .. every time i listen makes me think twice bout not helping, i hope someday the world can be fair and noo one will be on the streets starving . :)

@softballdancer1 No, there is no pause between this and enough. That meaning that we have to continue doing this and not be satisfied by that one thing we did. We have to keep doing this until it becomes A NORMAL THING to do, and not somehting deserving of showing off to the world. Like breathing, eating, or sharing food with friends for example.

I once gave a homeless man a one dollar bill, the only money I had on my person. My mother was furious. She told me that he'd only use it to buy drink or drugs and he was a dangerous man that I should have crossed the street to avoid. I believed that I was a fool to believe that I could change the world. I think that was when I made up my mind that I would become a doctor who works pro bono when I grew up.

In my school, we had to write an essay about who our role model is. I really didn't know who to put, so I randomly put Taylor Swift. I guess she was the person who came to mind. I just found this song today. Now I wish I could go back in time, and pick Carrie Underwood as my role model. This song makes me mad at my self for not finding it sooner. Even though I got a hundred on the Taylor Swift, I bet Carrie Underwood would've made just as high as a grade, and I would have this song to mention.<3

i listen to this song everday, it is very inspirational. every tuesday & thursday between the months september to june in my school there are a few people that stick around to make soup for our homeless soup kitchen in st.john's. we ended up feeding over 3000 people. 1000 giant cups of soup. this song, should be nominated or yet even carrie, for inspiration or humanity award. carrie underwood, im proud to say you are my idol.

i remember one day when i was younger and my mom and us saw a homeless guy with two huskys and a sign. my mom went and parked and walked up to him at the same time another women did and they both handed him a twenty each. and i remember thinking that guy feeds his dogs before he feeds himself, and we just helped him feed himself. and it was true, because those dogs were healthy and he was sitting in ratty clothes and obviously hungry. ill never forget that man.

I remember I gave a homeless guy $5..he needed it more then I did. I mean I had everything I needed. A roof over my head, food to eat ect.
I felt good to help someone though but when someone has 36 and cant even give that to someone in need like come on! How selfish can you be!?

I visited new york city a few years back. I saw homless man asking for supplies and money. I spent all my 20 dollars on him. It didn't sound like a lot to me, but he was so happy. It brought me to tears. I will never forget that day.

my aunt was buying food from mcdonalds and got two happy meals across the street she saw a homeless guy and his dog sittin there so she gave him the extra one and as she was leaving she was watching him and he shared the meal with the dog and she started crying it made her feel good to help him:-)

A few years ago two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to see if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said "Get the kids and get out of the house, we'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue". Change your profile pic in solidarity with somebody in need - pester people with status updates and tweets about what's going on in the world. Do a penny drive, collect cans, have a bake sale, a car wash. Write your MP/Congressperson. Write letters to editors, to CEO's. Stand on a corner with a sign. YOU ARE POWERFUL!!

I was listening to this song for the first time when I was on a roadtrip. I had a leftover sandwhich I would probably just end up throwing away anyway. I stopped for a potty break, and saw a homeless man with a sign that said "needs food." normally I would just continue driving while thinking to myself "wow, poor guy. sucks for him." at first, thats what I did. Then, I remembered the song and completely turned around and went back and fed the homeless man. A man got to eat because of this song<3
