  • It's a beautiful song that is not anti-anything. Pledging allegiance to the earth and all the people on it is a wonderful sentiment for children to know exists. It is the basis for virtually every well known religion on the planet. I am saddened that anyone would take offense at the lyrics. What specifically rankles people? What words in the song are upsetting?

  • @JayCr1 Well said! I am also curious as to which words are upsetting.

  • @sweettina2 You're right, in this pretend world I'm living in, there is nothing wrong with peace, love, justice and liberty. This "real world" of yours must be a pretty scary place.

  • @sixburgh97 I find it disturbing that you find a children's song about love, peace, justice, and liberty to be "creepy."

  • @gloryfades107 What is remotely icky about this song. It's just a nice little children's song about liberty, justice, peace and love. Is that what you find icky? If so, I find that disturbing.

  • @tottori1992 I must have missed the atheist lyrics in this song about peace and love. Maybe you should listen more carefully.

  • @sweettina2 Yeah, you can trust these people who sing about peace, liberty, justice, and love. I know Susan, and her only agenda is fairness and kindness. You can pledge allegiance to American and to the whole earth as well. There is nothing remotely anti-American about this song.

  • How sad to see people get so upset - not to mention downright nasty! - about a loving song like this!

  • The 60's weren't good to this person!

  • Yes!!
