@jkanyce it's weird like mate all my mates say they are black, or are they African English or something lol but the thing is, African or black people however you wanna say it call us White not Caucasian so why can't we? It's not racist
@18mcilroy I agree with you. It has more to do with the American culture because of its history, which makes it a very sensitive subject. There is a lot of tension and a lot of focus on ethnicity, more than I've seen in any other western country with a mixed population. In my country the terms black and white are also used, and that's what most prefer. So if you're English and living in England, and if you're not told otherwise, don't worry about it. They're cool, you're cool.

I never understood why people can't just say black instead of African American, it's not being racist unless he said two n*****s in the lead lol I won't say the word though, I'm Not racist and don't want to start any controversy
@18mcilroy ..Nowadays, we got to be politically correct...this is America, not a ghetto in NY. I used to say blacks but I was corrected millions of times. And I learned.
@18mcilroy The term African American is to distinguish the difference between Beyonce and Rihanna or Ray Charles form Bob Marley….that’s all….. it just describes a culture not a race.....also many white people don’t know where the term “black” / “white” in terms of race comes from...if you knew you would be disgusted! Feel free to ask me anymore questions....have a good night!
@Peeze16 lol i didnt even notice until u pointed it out but i think its bcuz "african-american" just sort of rolls off the tongue + ppl r so used to saying it that we sometimes refer to blk brits as african american! its easier than saying african brits!
@Peeze16 i think he caught himself after he said it when he fumbled a bit, but chose not to correct himself. i think he was just repeating what others have said. funny though! lol
@Peeze16 If you know your history you'll know that it doesn't matter where the slave master dropped you off at you're still african. You just take on the language and customs of the country,state,etc.. So he was correct...

@MAJORFONTHETRACK His parents immigrated from Africa to England, therefore meaning no slave master dropping them any where.
