Oh well, that still doesn't take away from the fact that Dawes was one of, if not THE, most exciting gymnasts EVER to be seen on the floor.

this was dawes' 1st major international competition. unfortunately, this was rather symbolic of the way her career would go. another brilliant set going & clearly a medal favorite. fluke on the dismount kills any shot of advancing/making the podium. so sad.
